Nothing better than garden-nurtured produce. Grow and cook your own... 'tis the way of generations.

me too! we were going to scale back the garden this year. but under these circumstances, we're going full victory garden. Probably go to the garden center tomorrow and see what they have for early spring planting. Stock up on canning supplies early.

There is a change in our weather at last, cooler days and even some clouds moving in. Been a long, hot and dry summer here. The paddocks are getting very bare. Dust swirls in the air ,even in the lightest of breezes. So had better move our fat pet sheep to a clean paddock and give them their usual daily treat of olives. Time to sharpen the chain saw and get in a couple of loads of firewood ready for the winter. And that will be my day.

Took a quick ride over the border to NH to see what was going on outside. First time I ventured out of the house in 3 days to get the newspapers. Been raining all day here and It was eerily quiet and dead on the highway and backroads. Reminded me when everything was closed on Sundays and everybody stayed home with family.

My friend thought places like Lowe's might be considered essential (people's applicances/other stuff breaking, etc). I hope so. I don't have the money to buy a whole bunch of stuff up front/at once like others do. I'm just hoping and praying I won't get laid off.
We're just going to dig up weeds and toss just about everything out and start over. With heaths, lithodora, and suchlike.
Cannot move debris piles as we believe several families of towhees are nesting there. Same with the clematis on the walkway to the courtyard.
Making paths in the woodlot next door. Adorning the "drumming circle." Watching the trail cam for the cougar and bobcat, as well as the blacktail. And ordering seeds. Good luck!
Saw the deer and the cougar but must have missed the bobcat...That farking cougar so close to your bedroom is kind of freaky for sure.

Go to the Lowe's garden center before they're ordered to shut down, and get some bags of garden soil (we have to BUY our dirt in Oklahoma City), a few plants, and some ant traps. We will practice strict social distancing while there, wear gloves, and sanitize all surfaces as soon as we get home. Then, rest, and prepare my mind for my first day of working from home tomorrow. Later, pork roast!

Thanks, anyone willing to get up at the butt crack of dawn to drive an hour to bowl deserves big props in my book. Cheers and good luck.Just hit your arrows.
Thanks. I didn't do too bad overall. Made a bit of money, so that was nice.
Heading out to a bowling tournament. 50 minute drive. Always loved listening to music in the car.
Hope y'all have a great Sunday.
