He's responded well to antibiotics and we'll be adjusting his food for a bit to see how that plays out. They are recommending a monthly dose of antibiotics to help keep him free of the various things that seem to knock him out of whack and keep the bi-monthly testing bills in check. He's an old dog who has been through a lot, so as long as he is happy and comfortable we're not going to be too invasive with testing and treatment. He's still a bit skinny, but we'll work on that with diet. They think that will help with leg strength too. Overall he's back to just being our normal goofball. Thanks to all for the good thoughts and helpful PMs.

Beautiful shot of the beautiful girl and her dog.

Halley jumped up a couple of nights ago whimpered a bit and made a bit of a rukus. Then she was sniffing around at the closet / corner of the bed and wouldn't lay back down. It took less than a minute for us to find a reasonably big (for this time of year) spider. I think she was probably bitten by the beast.

You did the right thing though - hes put you through sh*t you made a right fuss about for you childhood, its time for you to return the favour.

It would have appeared unseemly to do so for a minor thing like a shotgun exploding in your face. Sometimes I just forget the heritage things.

Alexandra wrote:Are you kidding? I WANT to see a ghost. I actually asked a ghost for a command performance at this old, haunted hotel in a small Ohio town...with no luck. I even invited my dear departed friend (who died 2 years ago) to appear if he wanted. I don't think I'm meant to "see" them, just hear them. It's all good. In his single days, #1 son lived in the family mansion of an early California governor renowned as a reformer, now converted to apartments. The "Governor's Room," supposedly where he died, was not used except to bed down guests. Two of his guests ended up on the downstairs sofa after being wakened by a "presence" in the room, whose breathing they could hear. When I stopped by on the way back from a convention, I got "the room." He explained its historical significance to me, and I said, "Great, I'd like to talk to him. Sounds like my kind of politician!" I slept like a baby, woke up disappointed.
