I'm wondering if they're still viable. It's quite cool out there, and mostly dark.
Edit: Thanks you too, KC!

I just slipped and broke it pretty bad. Guess we are far more brittle than when we met years ago.

I was helping my parents clean up storm debris of a tree that fell down. Bebe comes up to it and says "tree fall down. Be Careful!"

I missed the window for getting garlic starts into the garden before the snows and ice of December.

Should I try to pry the earth open soon and get them in? That garden bed has very good drainage; the rains won't stop until early July.

Anyone? Bueller?

It should work fine

maybe wont get the size as if you planted in the fall but the sooner the better!

Well, if I had done my homework to begin with I would know that Aeonium arboreum "Schwartzkopf" is a selected form of the green Aeonium arboreum. This plant from the Canary Islands is a popular house plant and often used as a feature plant in summer bedding. It is not frost hardy. New plants are easily started from cuttings of individual rosettes. The plant is monocarpic so a flowering rosette will inevitably die.

So the plant was going to die regardless.  But the cold definitely hastened the process.  Now I'm wondering if I can start a new plant from a cutting or if it is too damaged.
