You are sure, those Koch Bros. aren't Jews?
BTW: There must be something bad with the name 'Koch'. Here in Germany we have a politician with this name, and he's a very conservative (righwing in my eyes) member of the conservative party. Even for this party he belongs to the hardliners.
Fortunately he decided to retire from politics this year.
These two brothers have been running the Right Wing movement in this country, totally in stealth mode. Nugs worries about the Jews, but he doesn't seem to have much concern about the Koch Brothers who fund all the Righties in this country.
Covert Operations
The billionaire brothers who are waging a war against Obama.

John Cole caught a nice moment of candor from NY wing-nut Peter King in this Politicostory about the GOP remaining more-or-less mum on the Prop H8 ruling:
King, the Long Island congressman, said that in terms of social issues, the raging controversy over the Arizona border laws is providing more than enough ammunition for Republicans in key districts.
“The Arizona immigration law is there, there’s no reason to be raising an issue of gay rights” as a wedge, he said.
I hate posting this and giving this man any more publicity, but it's important to know what kind of vile words he is spewing so that they can be negated:
In a country, by most polls, seen as slightly right of center, he's spitting in the face of most. Pushing an all-too Liberal agenda for most might be his goal and many might support it. But his declining support, long before The Gulf disaster, speaks of a growing number disatisfied with that agenda. And then there are those times he scolds us, The People. That doesn't sit well. I would pay to see Mr. Obama, free from a bastion of Liberalism such as Berkley, come to West Virginia and scold us for clinging to our guns and Bibles. He would be hooted down in very short order. If you can't say it to someone's face and that is your target, then don't say it all. We elected a President. And got a professor constantly lecturing and hectoring with an air of supreme arrogance. He only listens to those of his ilk. All others are derisively excluded from the table.
He has said that he does what he thinks is right for the country, not what some wavering poll says.

I was very disappointed in Obama's speech last night. I thought he looked like he was trying to hard to please the media with some emotions, against his character, and that religious crap at the end turned me off.
But he is a politician. He has a lot of people to please, as well as get an impossibly large job to get done.
Those who have never tackled a huge problem in a management environment prolly don't have a good picture of how long it takes to get anything done. This is the largest disaster in American history. It isn't like a hurricane or airplane attack, that comes and goes, this is ongoing and long running.
The government never before has had to be micro-managed by the public and the media, like Obama's administration is. IMO, this is a backlash to the Bush Admin, which not only kept everything a secret, but lied and manipulated the media. Once bitten twice shy.
I would tread lightly when mentioning secrets and lies when discussing this administration vis a vis Mr. Bush and his team. Very lightly...
Micro-managed? Team Obama rams full speed ahead even when the public in a majority is saying, loudly, NO.
Then you can appreciate how those to your Right cannot understand you way of thinking...and that is not meant to make this personal. I apologize in advance if you take it that way.
I totally get that. Here's a confession:

All ideologues are scary, because they are unable to think outside their narrow view.
I am not an ideologue, if that is what you are thinking, but the Right view is so the complete opposite of my way of thinking, that it is very difficult for me to see their points.

Rush is scary. His hard core followers are scary, too. I would also apply that to those who see Mr. Obama as the best ever. The only one in a country of 300 million currently suited to the tasks at hand. That's scary stuff.

Rush is, and always has been, a comedian. He will say whatever outrageous statement he can to keep his audience and rake in the green. But the dittoheads believe him, and that's what's scary.

I wonder what Rick Barber's stance on our foreign policy is. Too often 'tea party' types rail against a bloated, wasteful government but are ready to further these wars all over the middle east to 'fight terror'.
They are incapable of seeing the correlation between the two. Maybe one day he will get it.
It is promising though, to hear that guys like him are giving the grand ol party fossils a run for their corrupt money.
