I'm not totally there yet, either, still getting (irregular) periods, but wow am I on an emotional rollercoaster (one that isn't related at all to what's going on with Mom, cos it started WAY before that). I can't have anything remotely like a real conversation with anyone in real life without tearing up for no good reason. The people in my life have begun to take it as it comes and realize that even if tears are streaming down my face (and they often are), it's just hormones, for the most part.

@ bokey, right. Feet can just get bigger. I don't know if they actually grow, but they aren't "flattening."
Wow. Lost mothers. No beating around the bush here!
My mother passed away 4 years ago. It was the most terrible thing I have ever witnessed, worst by far of everything. It haunts me somewhat. But there is some natural insulation with time. Which is good, because I wouldn't be able to carry that around with me.
I didn't cry. Just because I don't really except for movies. I think I would though. Given the right conditions I think I would cry about everything, just everything, just for the sake of it. All the times I didn't plus some for good measure.

Hmmm..I guess I'm a crybaby! Hey, you know it took about 15 years for me to stop crying when I thought about my dad's death. It takes as long as it takes. Don't feel bad about it. The tears will lead to smiles when you are ready.

Well I am curious. (That could be a problem because an earth worm has more social skills than I, a crusty recluse who likes to ponder things.) But crying could be as important as laughing, maybe. My mention of a movie got me on this. So here is another that makes me cry: "Drugstore Cowboy" by Gus Van Santand another "Bonnie and Clyde" by Arthur Penn. Basically, my pattern looks like a certain combination of broken love, societal conflict, vice and anti-social personality disorder. Guess I should go to "Today I learned . ."
