I don't really want an alternative to RP but I would like to add a good swing station to my list. I found this gem of a high school station in Menlo, http://www.kcea.org/~kceaplaylist/ourmusic.html . But I am looking for a play list that emphasizes vocals somewhat more and doesn't wax too tinny & squeaky. Don't want elevator music though!

Here is what I listen to for serious jazz, http://www.wbgo.org/.

I just downloaded spotify - lets you pick your own playlists and stream them back. Some adverts (every 3-6 tracks), but if you pick things with really long tracks there aren't so many :D
