Jelly. I'm hoping to have a window here so that I can take them out on the water just to break the quarantine monotony.

The clean up crew is here, taking care of the ice storm mess. P is very upset about her trees, and we're out $700.

@Antigone.    That is so sweet!

Averaged about 2.5C here today.  Heavy overcast, strong gusting winds.  It is gone to be while before I head outdoors in a canoe.

It must be getting cold up north. The Canadians are flocking to the desert.

I have to have the lights on in the house at midday, it's so dark.

This is really what the backyard looks like. It smells not too bad, so it's all happening up at higher elevations. And we're not in any danger ATM.

But, man, this is the worst I've ever seen.

Same here but the fire is almost to our house. Can't go out because of all the ash. I'm hoping is doesn't hurt my hawk who has a mew that will protect her from the ash but not the air quality.

Yesterday it was like that here.
We got a wind shift with nice dry cooler air. So today it's the nicest its been in quite a while.
Hang in there... the days are getting shorter and it'll snow soon.

We live far enough from the stuff that burns that we get smoke, but rarely get socked in anything like that. This reminds me of "fire camp" during 1988. Visibility was about 100' some days. And my job was picking up cigarette butts. Yes, the crews smoked during a wildfire.

When you build something from scratch... that's a lot of work and frustration.
But it'll be nice when it's done.
