Cookie where are you seeing it, because I still can't find it anywhere but TMZ? Not even People. And they're not even remotely reputable but this is their specialty area.
New York Daily News and the Atlanta Constitution-Journal are the 2 most reputable sources I've seen. It's spreading pretty fast to lots of internet sites, too. Not sure how reliable those are, though.

Alexandra wrote:Wiki has her date of death decided as today - but they are also the ones who kept saying Dave Grohl was dead. Thanks for the tip. Also notoriously not reliable on things like this. I wouldn't worry just yet. If some celeb's death isn't being faked, its just not the internet. It may be true, but I'll wait to believe it until a reputable source confirms it.

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ. She was 32. A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ. We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." Story developing ...

No - just looks like someone can't resist any reason to launch personal attacks on you instead of trying to foster the sense of community many folks hoped would prevail while we collectively grieved. A PM would have been effective - airing it out in public at this time is really crass and I would have hoped for better. /2¢

It just makes them different.
But the good thing about the RP community is its willingness to turn on each other, assume the worst, name call, and start a dust up - rather than look for an alternate explanation. That's why I stay here!

Laughter is all part of the grieving process. I've been to funerals where the whole family was laughing. There's a time for everything.
But I also think the timing of that particular title popping up could be construed as insensitive. Unfortunately, Eric Woolfson died at a time when some are feeling more raw than usual around here. I definitely don't believe anyone meant to be thoughtless.
