Ehh.  You can't be blamed for the timing.  Sometimes, shit happens.

However, I can tell you that in as long as I've been around RP, I've had dozens...maybe hundreds of comedic misfires - probably offending every person reading at one time or another.  And each one of those times has been my fault, and mine alone.

Personally, I don't think Republicans have a sense of humor!  {#Wink}

There was nothing insensitive about that post, you are just an insensitive person.

Something like... "I'm too insensitive and self-absorbed to respect the difference between grieving the expected death of a sibling who possessed a healthy sense of dark humor and grieving the sudden premature death of a child whose appreciation of same is, understandably, negligible."

Or "I save my sensitivity for wealthy politicians."

Or "Honk if you lack common sense!"

Can't remember exactly.

At the request of an RPeep, I have changed the title of this thread.

It's funny, because Alexandra, who had just lost her brother, found the title amusing, but now other people are finding it irreverent.

Again, proving to me, that the event is not responsible for a person's emotions, that each person responds in their own way, depending on a person's background.

Carol Burnett said Comedy = tragedy + time. I understand that a lot of people, including me, are feeling very emotional about the loss of Kiersten, and in deference to her, I will temporarily change the name of this thread.

i'm glad you did. took my breath away when i saw the former title at the top of the RAFT!

I don't think anyone took it like it was intentional, since it pre-dated the event, but you were cool about going with it and changing it.

 And for that I would  salute you but you'd just spit on me for being a Veterinarian. Or vegetarian . Or whatever. Hey, I'm kidding.
