Just saw this. Too tired to dig up anything now. I'll find the right info and make a post over in the Other Medical Stuff thread soon. Here's some trade info for now.

I pmed Kurt and he suggested I look at Other Medical Stuff thread.Excellent stuff! I just scoured the thread for all of Kurtster's posts related to eye sight. I highly recommend them. I was also totally impressed with his economic intuition. Turns out Kurt has a degree in Business Administration. No wonder..... I mention this because it is important to understand the material incentives of professional care givers when weighing advice and options. ——————————————————- Incidentally, in the same thread, I ran into a post by what I believe is an American woman who complained about her obstinate, stubborn optometrist who insisted on ordering something for her she did not want. Kurt advised her to find another. Reminds me of a woman complaining about coming home after "getting her hair done" and re-washing it to get all the gel and other stuff out that her hairdresser insisted on applying over her objections. Look. Some men are equal opportunity abusers. Even some women are pushy. Some women should learn that "no" is "no" only if you really mean it and move on quickly if the service providers insists on something the client does not want. For better or worse, most service providers take "no" from a 6 1/2 foot white male without too much difficulty. But at the end of the day, it is all in your head. Tiny women less than 5 feet tall can be just as or more ferociously independent than 6 foot plus males. End of thread hi-jack.

Yes, that lovely, black slime with the pleasant aroma that lingers in one's sinuses for the rest of the day - especially when it's a kitchen sink.

Plumbing on vacation. -hehe- On the bright side, at least you know how to do basic plumbing. A big chunk of the planet has no clue. It is like swimming. A big chunk of the planet cannot swim. Educated folks from rich countries can swim.

Am doing my best to convince her that she will have more de facto real estate to arrange documents and data banks. Not working so far. I even told her that none of the components are made in Republican states.....
