We are grateful for the chance to meet both of you and both of your beautiful children. What a wonderful time that was!

It was a great pleasure to meet all four of you.  No, really, it was.  Let me put it this way: I have never had any urge at all to visit Europe.  None.  Zip.  But I do, now. . . .

If it's any help for your bid next year, these guys are particularly hot on Synchronised Lane Hogging (line abreast, Interstate category), Pointless Tailgating (flowing traffic on a scenic single lane road) and Sudden And Erratic Undertaking (extra points can be earned by immediately slowing to a speed less than that of the undertakee.)

We saw that in Oregon on the way home. I stayed in the right lane at the speed limit until I needed to pass a truck. Often, there would be a car in the left lane just close enough that I couldn't change lanes. I discovered that if I signaled for a lane change, they wouldn't slow to let us change; they would speed up to get ahead of us. {#Doh}

I'm not sure that the rules about lane discipline are the same here darling. Am supervising sprogs by swimming pool but could do with a shower.
