Two times today i was using the tab player, and it suddenly stopped playing/disappeared . 

New version today.

Fixed: sudden player closures, repeating blocks of songs, general long-term unreliability. Should be major improvements there.

Not fixed: the various player window resizing issues, the clunky first-time startup (login, etc), and oh so much more :-)

Resizing the window after clicking PSD, Song Info (title), etc is proving to be more complicated than I'd thought — but 'skip' definitely shouldn't trigger that.

Hi Bill
Really like the RP3 Beta player and use in 8 - 12 hours daily.  Using Mac OS 10.11.6 El Capitan and Google Chrome it consistently stops playing. i will relaunch from your site and sometimes will get the circling balls showing it is playing ( or linking) but no sound.  I may do this three of four times without sound but window shows name of song etc.  After a few minutes (varies) the window will just disappear.  I will often have to go to your site and listen thorough main "Listen"  link. For no apparent reason I will check 15 or 20 minutes later and the RP3 Beta player will work fine.  Sometimes it will work fine for four or five hours.  It is a great interface ( when it works) and I wish you luck getting the bugs out.  Thanks for providing a great service and and after this will be going to Support to contribute.

Nice Bill. I'm back to trying the beta after a month, I really like it.
Actually, It's a perfect set-up for me now:
 * I still have my little window floating on the right side of Safari (about 10-15 cm), with the original player (not playing) displaying the little cover icon and the last 3 songs.
 * Under it, another little window with the beta player, same width, but displaying the cover much larger and fine.
Having both windows that way is ideal since I get both worlds (I only get music from the beta of course).
If you plan to phase out the original Player, please please include the 3 songs-mini list in the new beta before killing the old one !

Can't get the main stream to play but if I hit PSD I can get it to start... but after the first song of 6, it starts playing at least 2 songs at the same time. 

Towards the end of Camper, Cheap Trick started playing (never appeared on the playlist). The last minute or so of Camper was blasted out by Cheap Trick but I'm sure it was still there. Then I guess some Wire played. Then, totally without me touching any buttons, Spanish Mary and Pressure Drop both played (See start time)

Now I have Led Zep and the end of Pressure Drop, and I just heard your voice, and now it's crashed the popup player. Click play again and Thievery Corp starts so maybe all is well for now.

Not sure if this has been mentioned somewhere before...
You are asking for feedback on the new Beta Player, so I'll add my 2 cents.
When opening the new pop-up player is not a nice compact player, as someone mentioned earlier. It's big, stretched window with huge black reserved space for the music info and control, than a three big blocks to create an account, skip the creation or logging in below that.
In general, in the mean time, the music isn't playing yet. Still have to press the play button to get any sound (this isn't totally equal between IE, Firefox or Opera)(on Win7).
Why not just have the player open, start playing, with an option under the settings button to log in or create an account? These options are anyway available on the main page where anyone starts from anyway. So this huge reminder on the pop-up player is a bit too much in my opinion.
Otherwise, keep it going.

I first tried the beta pop-out player today, did 'skip', it played the next song, but then crashed at the end of the song (Chrome out of memory error).

So instead I am now playing  the beta new tab player, which is playing fine but is now using nearly 4g of memory after 3-4 songs and the number keeps going up.

And this is with 5-minute buffer and no slideshow.  Using the latest version of Chrome browser on Windows 7 (64 bit).

It's going to crash again sooner or later, and at that point I will happily go back to my Real Player, which streams with excellent sound and low memory.  When I need PSD I will come to the player at the top of your regular website, as that usually works pretty well, too (sometimes after a PSD song it doesn't transition to a new song, just dead air until I physically switch to the RP tab in my browser).

Hey Bill and Rebeccah!

Many thanks Bill. The player still skips a bit when I use my switch to move my keyboard/mouse back and forth, but 1) it is somewhat better now, and 2) it's started doing this on the non-beta player too. The second items leads me to believe it's an issue of the way my computer is handling the USB connection, and isn't related to the RP player.

So thank you for your efforts, and the when I turn off the keyboard shortcuts the beta player just glitches a little bit now during switches. I can live with that .
