‘It’s Like You Want to Stop People From Voting’: How U.S. Elections Look Abroad

From gerrymandering to voter roll purges, we showed people around the world how the American system works. It didn’t go well.

He didn't have 4 years of failure as proof he wasn't up for the job and was running against someone less likeable than himself.

A surprising moment of sanity. I honestly did not expect this.

Texas Supreme Court rejects Republican-led effort to throw out nearly 127,000 Harris County votes

A handful of GOP activists and candidates had asked the state's highest civil court to rule Harris County's drive-thru voting locations illegal and invalidate votes that have already been cast. The challenge has also been filed in federal court.

I did.  But then I have been listening to NPR almost non-stop for the last few days.

What I did not expect is this avalanche of evidence from this year and previous years of Republican Party sponsored attempts to disenfranchise voters.  Wow.

What does that mean?    Well, the next time I hear some American propagandist using 'democracy' as an excuse to kill civilians, I will think:  "Yes, you Americans are anti-Semitic ethnic-cleansing terrorist pieces of human shit.  And anti-democratic to boot."

If I am thinking this, the people you should worry about, are thinking far worse.

I am sorry to say this, but since Jan 2017 it is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Trump is nothing but a snake oil salesman. Best ever on this planet.  For those making, I don't know for sure, <250,000/yr, your taxes are going up. The higher earners same or less. It also mean that stupidity is now a cultural heritage.

And that violence in democratically run cities is a myth occurs and has been condemned by Biden but most of the attacks on people are from right-wing extremists.

I do not know what you mean by it being  an official position of Democratic Party that everything benefiting Trump is from Russia, Russia, Russia.

I am aware that a few have been quoted as saying the violence was a “myth.” Jerry Nadler was quoted saying that about violence in Portland.

When it is the President that is spreading — or creating — conspiracy theories, that matters. A lot. Do you disagree with that?

Trump himself stated 4 of the 6 I listed and at least alluded to the other 2.

Now, now. Only about 1% of the diagnosed cases in the US die these days. Sure some of the rest will have long term effects but overall it is a small price to pay for keeping the money rolling into trumps poocket

If I were solely wearing an accountant hat, that would seem to me to be a good plan.
