Radio Paradise

Hi,

I am currently unable to listen to RP Main Mix on my Amazon Echo. It says âI couldnât find a station named Radio Paradiseâ. This has previously worked for years with no problems. The RP Mellow Mix and Rock Mix are available, no issues.

If I use the TuneIn app, this also shows âThis station is not currently availableâ for the Main Mix, and again Mellow Mix and Rock Mix are available and work fine.

Is there a known issue with TuneIn and the Main Mix? Iâm in the UK.

Perhaps this is the same thing that grahamjeffs1948 is reporting in his TuneIn post?

In the Sonos app, go to Settings & then 'add a service' and find us on the list. Then we'll be added to your Browse menu.

Same. Either getting not available, or the same four songs on a loop. :-( Alexa on Sonos.

Thanks for the update, Bill. I thought this would be the problem after reading the article which i linked to. Obviously, TuneIn is important as lots of people have have bought internet radio devices which rely on it. It will be interesting to see how the appeal goes...(not very hopeful on this) ð¤

Any developments or news for a RP Google Home Action?

Maybe now is the time for some people to buy a Raspberry Pi and an I2S DAC HAT if you listen on your Hi-Fi (or cobble together your own Pi based radio) and just paste the RP streams and listen directly? There's plenty of choices in terms of software to run eg Rune Audio, Volumio, Moode, PiCore, etc...

RP is currently unavailable via TuneIn in the UK. We are trying to rectify this situation, but unfortunately that's not likely to happen any time soon.

Read my other comments when they are approved. I'm having a similar problem on a Google speaker and the TuneIn app on Android. I'm wondering if the article which I have linked to below may shed some light on the problem...

TuneIn app on Android also produces the identical message as on the Google speaker. My mum has a GGMM E5 speaker (Chinese company I think) which uses the TuneIn service to play RP and it's working fine. Maybe the speaker thinks it is in China or isn't location aware? Weird! â¹ï¸

When trying to play RP on a Google speaker I receive a tone/beep and accompanying message informing me that this radio station is not available in my country. Is this some sort of geographical licensing issue? This is the problem with having a service like TuneIn acting as a gatekeeper! Thankfully, the RP app is wonderful and I have a collection of Bluetooth speaker. RP plays nicely on my Raspberry Pi too...

I'm having the very same problem. I listen through a Sonos system via TuneIn. Stopped earlier in the week. Tried reinstalling on TuneIn and says "station already exist". Logo is there, but won't play.

Can you not search for âRadio Paradise Mellow Mixâ in the same way you will have searched for the main feed? Iâm guessing because I donât have a Samsung TV, but donât want you to miss out!

Me too.
