Seems the PNW remains a hotbed of violence, arson, destruction & looting. I wonder why these perpetrators haven't got the message that Portland & Seattle are bastions of all things progressively liberal?
Yes, you SHOULD wonder why there's a lack of full coverage. Maybe investigate that.
OR you could tune in and find out what Andy Ngo has to say to the Oversight Committee on Monday....
The stench of flop-sweat is overpowering. Poor KK: shackled to a toad who can't really be called a president. And all for a sad little paycheck.
Oh, gosh, Jim Jordan! The guy who helped cover up sexual abuses of Ohio State wrestlers! You could fill a school bus with all the people who've accused Jordan of actively working to hide these crimes.
Who knew? An honest observer has a bigger hard-on for Antifa than our dynamic KK/K duo. Bonus "surprise!" He's Islamophobic.
The publication where Ngo is an editor, Quillette, is widely seen as a major hub of the âintellectual dark webâ â a loose collection of anti-political correctness, anti-identity politics, anti-left media figures and reporters. Ngo is the closest thing the intellectual dark web has to a gonzo journalist, someone who goes into allegedly hostile places and documents them for his more than 200,000 Twitter followers to illustrate that the IDW is right about the threat from multiculturalism and the left.
Last year, for example, Ngo went to the UK to chronicle the supposed threat the rising Muslim population posed to British society. The resulting article, âA Visit to Islamic England,â claimed England was being quietly conquered by fundamentalist Islam.
The piece was shredded by actual Brits. Most amusingly, Ngo presented a London sign reading âalcohol restricted zoneâ as evidence of Islamic dominance in the Whitechapel neighborhood; it was actually a public safety ordinance designed to discourage public acts of drunkenness from patrons of nearby pubs, bars, and strip clubs.
Ngoâs coverage of left-wing protesters is similarly ideological. He views left-wing activists, like Muslim immigrants to the West, as a threat to free and open societies. His reporting plays up acts of vandalism, violence, and hostility to free speech without a comparable focus on the much more frequent and deadly actions of right-wing extremists.
Antifa is a perfect foil for Ngo. The group of typically black-clad activists are radicals who believe the best way to deal with the rise of white supremacy and hate groups in the Trump era is by confronting them on the street. Sometimes, this means organizing demonstrations against them; other times, it means brawling in the streets.

Or a bit of trendy PR from a guy who needs it and who can afford it. It will be cool to have a net zero arena, but I don't for a second believe it from the goodness of his heart. When I ran the data center, they were the anchor client. Their power bills were in excess of 200K$ a month. They blocked efforts to improve efficiency unless they got all the benefit of the savings applied to their bills.
Yeah, I just like knowing the announcers will have to say it all the time, like Dignity Health Sports Park.

Looks like the Bubba Wallace NASCAR & the noose thing is about to implode on Bubba & NASCAR. He's probably toast, fratricided by the idiots at NASCAR. #fakenoose
Yeah. NASCAR owes a huge apology, meanwhile Bubba has decided to try the whole âitâs a noose because I say it isâ defense .
Bold. Laughably insane and idiotic, but bold.
What he should have said: "I am of course relieved this wasn't a hate crime against me. My critics are wrong that it was a hoax - instead it appears to have been a misunderstanding, and I'm grateful my fellow racers and NASCAR & its fans had my back."
He's nuking himself now.
As a general rule you are ignore worthy. But this is a notable exception -

Nascar doesn't owe anyone an apology, they did exactly the right thing. "Oh, this looks like it could be bad. Let's investigate and see what's up."
Yea but the real issue is he is damaging credibility and muddying the waters making it increasingly difficult for people that truly want to make progress come to better understanding with those that have different views on racial relations. Preaching to the choir gets us nowhere and giving actual racist who do not want reconciliation fodder to promote their agenda is not the way to go. He is bringing his own personal embarrassment into this discussion and making things worse, but you can't tell anyone nothin' anymore. You can admit to the overreaction and misunderstanding and still protest and articulate your true experiences, there is no law against that. This is not as bad as the Jussie Smollet incident because it appears to not be a staged intentional act, but the damage is still done. You are not always wrong, nothing wrong with letting you know the few times you aren't.
AMEN! I have never forgiven Rev. Sharpton for the Tawana Brawley debacle.
This incident seems odd - was it a stall Watson wasn't familiar with? Pretty much every manual roll-up door has a rope pull dangling from it - often with a loop tied in it for easy grabbing. Spending so much time in garages, he would have seen them many, many times.
Maybe it was the way the loop was tied? Typically the loop is a bowline, so it won't close up. A slipknot is the tool of a lynch mob - quick and sloppy. A hangman's noose is the knot that sends the message, loud and clear.
Regardless, it just seems odd. And I agree, if it really is a case of mistaken identification, Watson, Petty and the team should own it. c.
