Zissy you have a precious family there!! They are too cute. We got our Golden as a service dog for my son (autism) but he's my therapy dog too. There is something so special about him. He is one of the best parts of my life (and the rest of the family feels that wAy too.)

well if it weren't for Kiwi I wouldn't be alive. She isn't trained to but she knows when I need my insulin. She is very in tune with my needs for some reason. They are very special to me that is for sure. :)

There have been times that I have felt very dark inside. I'm certain woofs have saved my life... more than once. When the world seems to be falling apart all they want is love, especially when it's in the form of dog biscuits.

I agree, but the animals' behavior can be cheering. Being around children, animals or nature helps me out of my funk.

spending time with my pups helps so I will be going to lay down with them soon. :)

I wish I had a switch to turn off my thoughts. I've tried to meditate, pray and whatever else and nothing seems to help. My thoughts are racing and I'm a bit manic today.....I'm sure it will pass as it always does but I'm exhausted.

Is addiction a disease of the brain? That's a bit like saying that eating is a phenomenon of the stomach. The stomach is an important part of the story. But don't forget the mouth, the intestines, the blood, and don't forget the hunger, and also the whole socially-sustained practice of producing, shopping for and cooking food.
