Looking for a top notch designer to work on a logo branding assignment. Individuals only. I will know immediately from your samples if you have a full understanding of design principles, concepting, and the use of negative and positive space. Please don't waste my time if you are not serious about design and, and have great work to back it up. Please send a brief explanation of yourself and experience, 3-5 samples of elite logos you have personally created. NOT PAGES AND PAGES. You can also send me a link to your website if you like.

Include your project rate for logo creation, and your hourly rate.

thanks

I don't know how much time I've spent indicating "mis-categorized" for those entries.  I wish Craig's List would define the difference between listing "creative" and "talent" gigs a little better.

A friend of mine IRL, who teaches this stuff at the college level, just published a beautiful book. I'll link to it once he gets it fixed. ... Earlier today he posted it and on the cover it says "Forward by Joe Schmoe"

I quickly emailed him and said it's foreword, not forward, and he quickly took it down. Now the fixed book is up and it has a "Foreward by Joe Schmoe"... he got so caught up on the e that he missed the o.

I'd laugh but I've made the same mistake...

FIX ME A FLYER PLEASE! (San Franscixo/East Bay)

I need help designing a flyer. It is a pretty much straight forward, just need to get an attractive and professional looking flyer. I have all images and text, all you would do is put it together/resize/color enhancement etc. This is something you'd see in a fashion magazine, like a beauty page. Think "get the look page"

Need to get this done asap, not later than tomorrow.
Unfortunately, my budget is limited to $40 to pay for design help. Although my flyer is not that complicated, I know it is probably worth a little more, but I'm working on a student budget here, so please bear with me. Can pay more later as I have on going projects.
If you can help, please send me an email above as soon as possible. I'll email back with the images and a few suggestions of what I'm looking for. I'll need a proof of the completed design. Can pay cash in person (can meet up in either downtown Emeryville or SF ) or via Ppal

Thanks!

That's the part. I can't find the spider though. Oh well.

Yeah, we used to get sample parts of things like ball bearings, where the balls rolled in the races, all made in one shot. Little wrenches and tools too, all made at once. Right here on my desk I have what looks like a chess piece, a little 'castle tower', which has a spiral staircase inside!

The original materials were UV-cured liquid, and the part rose up out of the bath a few thousandths at a time. They were very brittle, and would warp if not supported very carefully. They were great for shape studies and concepts, but once we got to the detail design, we had to switch to machined models ($$$$). Today's materials are vastly superior, obviously. Some folks talk of using Rapid Prototype (RP) processes for production parts, which seems feasible for low volumes, but I don't see it ever competing with injection-molding and other high-volume processes. But with the progress they've made, who knows?

Does your "castle tower" also have a little spider in it? I've seen that one, must have been at least ten years ago.
