okay..good to know! we should have a whole foods in oklahoma city in a year or so...they have finally broken ground on the building site! edit: and white and regular unbleached flour is fine, if you don't mind causing spikes in your blood sugar, raising your triglycerides, having chronically clogged intestines, and rotting teeth! since it is devoid of fiber and naturally occurring oils and nutrients, and begins to convert into sugar the moment it hits the enzymes in your saliva, it's a great idea (sarcasm strongly implied!) to eat foods made out of it every day, like most Amurkins! ....but you already knew that....

It keeps me from being so sick I have to collect disability. Here's a thought: try not to be critical of other people's lifestyle choices. Because maybe you'd be happier not worrying about what other people choose to eat. I'm more interested in the way people swindle each other, Manbird. False advertising and health food swindles abound.

triskele wrote: ooooh....yummy. i saw a guy on tv with a fun left over idea. get some of that pillsbury dough, like a tube of crescent rolls, and lay it out flat on a cookie sheet. pinch the seams together instead of separating the rolls. he basically made a pastry roulade with the dough, with turkey and cranberry sauce inside of it. he rolled everything up , then chilled it for a few hours, then sliced it into discs which he then baked.
it was an interesting idea....IF you eat that dough in a tube stuff at all. it would be inexpensive, and easy, probably pretty tasty, and fun to make.
pillsbury has released two of it's products, biscuits and french bread dough, in a version they call "simply." they have removed the high fructose corn syrup and trans fats. we tried the biscuits, and they were quite good.
i don't eat or serve white flower products except once or twice a year, so these were our "white bread treat" on friday.
