Those cards are from 1915 and were drawn by a woman named Grace Drayton, who also "created" the Campbell's Soup Kids.   Hmm: They're for sale on eBay and it shows the backs with more writing. Wait a minute - the seller is from Durham.

A battle-ready, Medieval Barbie suits up in 3-D armor

 

Barbie can now slay your dragons, and she'll look fabulous doing it.

Through a successful Kickstarter campaign, one super-nerd dad in Wisconsin has designed a 40-piece medieval armor kit for Barbie that can be made on a 3-D printer.

"I feel it is essential to respect Barbie's character. You can't make an ugly suit of armor and expect Barbie would be caught dead in it," Jim Rodda told CNBC on Tuesday.
