Apparently that is very important according to Mom.snd after talking to her she would willing to sell it for the proverbial "right price".

The one my Mom has is in the basement, stored in a big plastic container with each individual branch in its original wrapping. Spinning color spot lights also. Of course for reasons previously mentioned I could not get rid of it.

I have considered putting it up in the listening room.

And the angel my mom made. She bows and dances, no matter how you position her.

Sent a note out to my friends that I was getting rid of mine (didn't want the cat eating the ancient tinsel - no telling what it was made out of).  They practically came to blows over it.  Who knew?  I had the original box and everything.  It was fabulous but I've decided that I am no longer keeping things for someday so since it wasn't being used now, it was gone.  

I'd love to have one of those cheesy aluminum trees now.

Mom and Dad used to live in a beautiful large A frame. It took her over two weeks to decorate and when she was done it was like walking into Christmas Town. Every room ,including the bath rooms were decorated even had Christmas TP. Three full sized trees in the place, one of which.was one of those hideous aluminum thins with the color rotating spot lights. ( I one time made the mistake of asking her why she kept that ugly thing and turning on me like a banshee she said "that was your sister's favorite tree", my sister having passed away 8 years earlier).

People would visit just to see the house. And the high point was the holiday party they hosted, did not want to miss that one.

I stuck it in a corner and only decorated the 1/3 that faces out.  Mostly because I had a single 3 foot garland.
