The Dead was no worse than any of them, better than many of them. A matter of taste I suppose.

Sad news-This place gets completely destroyed every time some Dead affiliated jamb band plays. Human waste in the parks, trash all over the place, trustatafarians emptying the food pantries and some a-hole always trying to sell you a cheese sandwich. triskele wrote: omfg. furthur at red rocks. september. we're GOING!!!! Have you been there, before? i've physically BEEN there, when i was a junior in high school, visiting colorado....there was no show going on at the time, but i wanted to see the place, and back then, you could just drive up to it and walk around in it, which i did!

All my years watching this band, I've never seen Weir do anything like this...it would be very much out of character for him to show up wasted for a show. Perhaps he took some meds to deal with the shoulder, and then a couple drinks... Given the band seem not taken back when he fell, i would believe they knew of his condition before the show started. Still very odd.

i read that phil said bobby was taking muscle relaxants for the shoulder....
