Once again, Radio Paradise does not work even using the magic words "Alexa ask Radio Paradise to set the stream quality to Ultra". Did something else happen? Can someone provide me so more magic words to fix the problem? DianaLipka wrote:

Oh no! I now discover that Mellow and Rock mixes have suffered the same fate and are unavailable through TuneIn in the UK.... the situation is getting worse ð¢

I lost RP on my Squeezebox Touch for over a week. I have TuneIn installed. So then while searching for it again I found the Mellow and Rock mixes as noted by members below but, not my favourite, the Main mix. Like others it said not playable in the UK, presumably for the reasons noted below. Lots of searching and fiddling with the Squeezebox and getting rather annoyed. Then I went into TuneIn directly and looked at "Staff Picks" knowing they love RP too. So RP was still listed there and when I clicked on it ......it worked! So saved it back to My Favourites and it's all good and dandy again...... Odd but I hope it stays now. edit - the Mellow and Rock mixes are AAC 320kbps http://opml.... and the Main RP is MP3 128kbps and http://radioparadise.com so the TuneIn staff are linking to that. Anyway I'm happy!

Bugging TuneIn isn't going to help. They're legally required to honor requests like the one from PRS.

I appreciate it does nothing for Alexa users for whom the RP skill doesn't help, but maybe Sonos or other platforms allow you to access your Tunein favourites, in which case my suggestion may help I have non Alexa Sonos kit here and have done as per your first paragraph but don't see how to get this url into TuneIn so it'll play. From other posts it looks like it needs Alexa to work? Disappointing.... Stew

That will work for Alexa-enabled Sonos devices, but not when you use TuneIn to send music from an Echo device to a non-Alexa Sonos speaker. The default speaker option always goes through TuneIn, and itâs the TuneIn RP Main Mix thatâs disappeared. Yes, telling Alexa to play directly through the Alexa skill rather than letting 'her' play through Tunein has worked for me - yay! However some people play RP through their Smart TV's using Tunein and they will still lose out. I am sure it is the PRS in the UK that is instigating this. We had problems with them before when playing music to the employees in the warehouse that I worked in. Luckily I worked in a small room off the warehouse and I was "allowed" to play RP in my room - provided no other employees could hear it otherwise we would have had to pay RPS a license fee to listen! In the past I've added the RP URL as a custom url in my Tunein favourites - in the Tunein app, log in and go to your favourites, scroll to the end and add a custom url, and add the required link from this page : https://radioparadise.com/list...I'm currently in the UK listening to the flac stream on my Linn amp using that route. I am currently unable to listen to RP Main Mix on my Amazon Echo. It says âI couldnât find a station named Radio Paradiseâ. This has previously worked for years with no problems. The RP Mellow Mix and Rock Mix are available, no issues.
If I use the TuneIn app, this also shows âThis station is not currently availableâ for the Main Mix, and again Mellow Mix and Rock Mix are available and work fine.
Is there a known issue with TuneIn and the Main Mix? Iâm in the UK.
Perhaps this is the same thing that grahamjeffs1948 is reporting in his TuneIn post?
Thanks
In the Sonos app, go to Settings & then 'add a service' and find us on the list. Then we'll be added to your Browse menu.
