Always looking to stretch my stash and conserve and had been mixing Mullein to make it last longer, but had a sudden brainstorm one day. Whilst looking at all of the stems I have saved over the year, gathered them all together and ground them up with our spice grinder. Taste great and less filling!
Kelli Kennedy The Associated PressStaff Published Wednesday, December 9, 2020 6:34PM EST FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. — While serving a 90-year prison sentence for selling marijuana, Richard DeLisi's wife died, as did his 23-year-old son and both his parents. His adult daughter was in a horrific car accident and suffered a paralyzing stroke as a result. He never met two granddaughters — a lifetime of missed memories.
Yet, 71-year-old DeLisi walked out of a Florida prison Tuesday morning grateful and unresentful as he hugged his tearful family. After serving 31 years, he said he's just eager to restore the lost time. DeLisi was believed to be the longest-serving nonviolent cannabis prisoner, according to the The Last Prisoner Project which championed his release. ......
DeLisi was sentenced to 90 years for marijuana trafficking in 1989 at the age of 40 even though the typical sentence was only 12 to 17 years. He believes he was targeted with the lengthy sentence because the judge mistakenly thought he was part of organized crime because he was an Italian from New York. DeLisi said he had opportunities, but never had any desire for that life.
===================================
Sectarian ignorance and fear? The poor man could have got drunk, raped a woman, perhaps killed her and then received a relatively short prison sentence. Delisi was also illiterate when arrested so I suppose he had to be punished for that.
That being said, the federal government lists marijuana as a Schedule 1 drug. This broad classification is then interpreted for the stateâs to elucidate the attached penalties and the coordinating amounts.
The United States government regulates illicit substances through the Controlled Substances Act of 1970âthis legislation does not acknowledge the difference between medical and recreational use of cannabis. The laws expressed through this act are typically applied only against individuals who cultivate, possess or distribute large quantities of marijuana.
According to Federal law, marijuana is treated like every other illegal drug. The schedules or classifications offered by the Federal Government are organized based on the drugâs relative potential for abuse and medicinal benefit. Under the Controlled Substance Act, marijuana is defined as a Schedule I drug. This classification denotes that the government views marijuana as highly addictive and in possession of no medical value.
Miss it but won't be doing it again....I just get too bone lazy and end up doing nothing but think about having sex, day after day. Even the brilliant world changing million buck ideas that come to me end up being forgotten by the next day, so no - not in my arsenal anymore.
My problem was I had no brakes - wake-n-bake and all day long, with beer. Rinse and repeat. Year after year.
About a decade plus ago, I started to notice all these stunningly good looking young women who were advocating pot legalization or just promoting cannabis in general.
That is when I instinctively knew the movement had inertia and a good chance of being successful.

...... It's been 30+ years since I smoked pot. I still miss the high.
You managed to "mature out" of weed. Good for you. That, incidentally, is the formal term used in the literature. In passing, I would curious as to why you stopped; I can think of about a dozen good reasons for doing so.
Remember 2-toke weed way back in the day? Well, if you or others in a similar situation do try it again, start with a half-toke and wait 5 minutes.
i still have the occasional friday afternoon/evening happy hour tip with food
weed here is everywhere, out in the open, almost like cigarettes with the younger crowd
i'm pretty sure in general the local law has stopped charging for small amounts
or turn a blind eye, especially at outdoor events
Weed in DC is legal—you can grow up to six adult plants at home, you can get a license to smoke for medicinal purposes—but you're not supposed to smoke it in public. Still I pass by people on the street or in parked cars and you can smell it.
...... Actually I was just joking. Personally for me there is no such thing as too much THC, but as Kurt noted before strain matters for the type of high. I am a Sativa boy, Indica is what leaves you nailed to the couch.
Well, then I have some knock-you-back Sativa for you to try my friend........
I personally prefer Indica but not the crazy, punch-in-the-head Indicas. I like the well-balanced, full spectrum head/body stone Indica. If I pull too much, I might slow down in a bit but that is quickly rectified with physical activity or barring that a cup of coffee or black tea.
If growing your own, the trick is to delay the harvest and allow the orange hair to grow.
The black market focused on upping the THC content in some of the Kush varieties. Nobody has tried that with Sativa though in recent years, some of the Sativa-Indica hybrids are super strong, but reasonably well balanced depending on how the plant is grown and when it is harvested.

Just pondering here..... RP is just as good or better than any of the alternative FM stations back in the 60s and early 70s. Weed is available today in both the legal and black markets in varieties and strengths that were difficult if not impossible to find back in the day.
The good ol' days? No. These are the 'good new days'.
I had the pleasure of some Orange Kush about a year or two ago on my last trip to NC. Fucking knocked my socks off. Saw the plants, too. Very unusual variety, small and dense. Definitely an Indica, just by appearance. I would like some more, not a problem. Clear headed, but planted to the couch for a couple of hours with a big grin. It would be for special occasions though, not an everyday thing.
It's more than just the color of the hairs for timing the harvest. What matters more is the color of the crystals on the buds. Usually you want to take it when those crystals are about half yellowy white and half golden brown. The longer you wait past that point, the THC starts diminishing and the CBD potency grows as more of the crystals get browner or darker. At least this is my understanding based from people who know more than I do. This is where knowing this and the timing is important because you have roughly a two week window before the change really goes to the CBD. You can also see a noticeable change in how the bud grows from that point on. You need to stop fertilizing at least a week before taking it to flush all of that out of the plant for a better taste. Some stuff is done in 60 days and others can take up to 70 or 80 days once you change the times and light colors for budding when indoors. Outdoors would be the same for the crystals, but the length of the maturing process is different with natural light and the more gradual changes in the length and the colors of the daylight. So I'm told.
