I played this song several times back in February when my mother passed of Alzheimer's and used that line "time goes by at the speed of life" for my Facebook status that day for a while. Also last week when I had my "first" heart attack, this song came to mind and I played it loudly when I got home.

I came here to comment on the song and got distracted by the Hopperania...IMHO "Speed of Life" is a nearly  perfect pop song. I found the balance of the disc, hmm, so-so, but this one's outstanding.

Wow this really really sounds like Sting, possibly "I'm So Happy I can't stop Crying" from Mercury Falling. I guess both songs are pretty derivative.
This does not mean I don't like it of course. Good tune, good lyrics..

Well, it sort of does. The phrase is an idiom with a particular meaning. I understand that you can use that phrase and actually mean asking for a question, so it's not a "misuse," but then I agree with the website that "raises the question" is probably a better way to say that. Where I totally agree with you is that it's amazing that someone devoted a whole website to the issue. As Bill Shatner said to the Trekkies, "get a life!"

I agree with the pet peeve, it annoys me hugely. But Inamorato is correct imho, a question begging an answer doesn't imply a misuse of "begging the question." Holy mackerel though, I would never have imagined that an entire web site would be devoted to drawing a line in the sand on the misuse of "begging the question." I loved the end of the home page where he/she states "this is why we fight." It begs the question of whether a web site can change the momentum of this misuse, however.
