I know so many
Places in the world
I follow the sun
In my silver plane
Universal traveler

If you have a look
Outside on the sea
Everything is white
It's so wonderful

So far away
I met so many
People in my life
I've got many friends
Who can care for me

Just feel everywhere
At home tomorrow
Is a brand new day
Let's go somewhere else

What is with the percussion? Is someone bouncing a basketball or is it static from a loose speaker cord?

How annoying is that bloody drum sound? Sounds like a scratch on a vinyl record.

Some forms of thanks are bitter, aren't they?... Glad you were there to help her when she needed help the most. She may not even be here without your help.
When I was 17 my dysfunctional mother got a little girl. During the day when she cried my mother would hit her, so I took her every day to my room to keep her safe. She would watch me work and study. I kept her fed and alive. During that time we listened a lot to this album. When I hear this music the memories flood back.
The saddest part is that when she grew up my mother indoctrinated her with the idea that I was the problem back then. She cannot remember what I did for her. But I know what I did and I am sure one day she will know in her heart that my mother lied about everything.

Tim Roth and Bill Hader.

I just lurve the Franche accent and the French pronuncuation of 'universal'. Très chic :o)
Timeless music. I've listened a lot of Air in the day and whenever I hear it it brings a smile on my face.
Great duo! Not their best work though

I very much enjoy Air. Just another group the RP and Bill has introduced me too over the years. thanks.
Agree.. I like it too... Nice relaxing clear music.. 8/10
New to me too. I like it
Simple. Lovely. Wistfully so.

Ooo. New to me. I like.
You need a soul trapper 😊
Sorry.
That keyboard sounds nervous.
Someone should have sent this act a few bucks to buy some lyrics.

hee hee hee! I grow borage too. I think she meant 'barrage'. Not to be confused with Bar-age, a late night jonesing for beer.
ps, pretty fluffy stuff from two guys who feel the need to wear leather driving gloves. Kind of stalker-ish...

Actually, no. In sci-fi movies, they always have to test the air to make sure it's breathable. In this case I think it isn't.

Those are socalled tictocs...

More like an anal bubble bath. I usually like Air, but this is annoying. Is my computer frying out, or is the upload of this song filled with annoying pops and clicks? Either way, have to mute until the next song comes up.
air makes living possible.
I love Air and have all their albums but I dont think this is one of their best.
:chillpill.gif: Great chill out after hard day as well as a great part of hi-Q album. Fully recommend! :chillpill.gif:
How passive would you have to be to enjoy this Song??
Air is perfect for when you don't want to think about anything. Like a momentary pause in the massive borage of information going on in your head ya know? Oh yeah, and it's good to breathe too. :goodvibes.gif:
Air is absolutely brilliant in their approach to songwriting and production.

While I don't agree with your rating, I find your expression of it quite witty, in my nerdy IT sort of way.
Goodness, I love Air. Everytime one of their songs pops on RP I'm delighted.

Actually that's also what I hear, no matter how hard I try to teach my brain that it's supposed to be "Universal traveler"... It's quite typical for French people to use the wrong accents on foreign words :)

So you're NOT on a mission to hate every artist that I like. Just kidding. You like at least three other songs that I like. Agree on Air though. Very good music.
Air++.
Very good.
I cannot decide which is more irritating to hear - this song or my neighbor's windchimes...and I hate those windchimes (three sets on one porch...why??)
This song became the most listenable to me off this album.I still really like it.Makes me feel like im travelling through time.

Me neither! Still funny.
I should hate this song, but darn it, it's just so darn catchy!
ConFOUND it, this is catchy!
This one would segue great into Eulogy by Tool...
I know, never gonna happen. But a guy can dream.
I like what you wrote. Are you a keyboard player and if you are then what do you like about synth pop today...

that is so funny........What can I say? Of all the new music I've picked up at RP, this is my favorite album and this might be my favorite song. Thanks, Bill.

Amen to that. <-o<
I didn't know I needed a soul traveler.
I love this song, but the intonation on "universal traveller" just cracks me up. So French!

In a screw cap kinda way, in the case of this cd.
Monkeysdad wrote:

That explains why I like it. Thanks. Now I can buy the CD w/o regrets.......
Not bad, but definitely background music. Nothing more.
This reminds me of someone.....maybe Shawn Phillips?
Saw these guys live a month ago......BEST show I have ever seen.
Maybe my favorite song on this album, but I like Premier Symptomes and Moon Safari much better.
I thought the lyrics went like this:
I met so many
People in my life
I've got many friends
Who can kill for me
I kinda like it my way better...
They are very fresh although being an older band. Always sound good.

Oh so very redundant!
Talkie Walkie is growing on me, but I'm most fond of the Virgin Suicides score... haunting.

This is the first time I've heard Air, though I've read quite a bit about them. Like the cut, it's got some nice musicality if a bit milquetoast vocal.
