I thought you were the sweetest kill
Did I even know?
And all the time we thought we did
Was it just for show?

If they try to pull you out
Would you even go?
I thought you were the sweetest kill
Did you even know?

I held your hand until the light
The scars were on the back
And all the time we were the right
Was it just retract?

And they can try to put you down, wear you out
Get you through the idea of the luck
I thought you were the sweetest kill
Did we even know?

All the time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives
Like a fade out
All the time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives
Like a fade out

When we took the level ten
Was it just a twelve?
And when we went to where we've been
Was it just for self?

And they can try to wear you down, put you out
Get you through your will that won't work
I thought you were the sweetest kill
Could I even know?

All the time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives
Like a fade out
All the time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives
Like a fade out

All the time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives
Like a fade out
All the time, we get by, tryna figure out our lives
Like a fade out

I break you through this world
I break you through this world
Let me break you through this world
Can I break you through this world?

This sweetly  reminds me of "Love, thy will be done", by Martika, music and lyrics: Prince (supposedly released on 01 01.1991, a very Prince-ish date. )

That is to say that I'm liking this a lot 🤩

You turned me onto (Short List): Silver Sun Pickups - Unified Theory - Moby - Florence - Mumford - TOR - Tame Impala - Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree - Snow Patrol - Other Lives - Neko Case - Morcheeba - Hooverphonic - High Violets
Thank you . Thank you. There really are no words to express my gratitude.

I'd love to tell you about the multitude of classic shows I've been to. Pink Floyd -Meddle, DSM, Animals, Wall tours. Who. Yes x5. Dead x 12, ELP, Return to Forever with Procol Harum, Weather Report in Caesarea, Israel, Tull 8x, Allman Bros. 6x, Genesis 2x,

But, I'm sorry...(Sweetest Kill)

This song must be removed from the playlist, PLEASE. It's terrible. Awful. Sad. Want to turn off RP (which I generally do)

Tell you what, go watch the Killing Fields, then listen to Sweetest (want to kill myself), then stand in front of a revving 747 Jet Engine. What comes out is better than this song.
Do I have to get down on my hands and knees?

If there was just one song that should never ever be played, this is it. Would you ever want to play the worst Killswitch track of all time or this?

Thank you for reading.

Did you ever notice that anytime someone writes a comment, or makes a statement, and begins a sentence part way through with the word, "But..." that everything that follows it negates what came before.

I, for one, am just very pleased that Bill and Rebecca never seem to take the advice of the "butt" statements. (sp. is not a mistake).
Trippy song, brutal video. I was warned not watch it, of course I did...

Gotta love the video

More BSS please!!!! Amazing band!
Great song...don't judge songs by videos...in my mind the only music video worth watching is the Beatles singing "Don't let me down"
on the top of Abbey Road studio. If you just close your eyes and listen you will enjoy Sweetest Kill more without preconceived notions.
One of the most overrated bands on Earth.
Will this song ever end? less is more!
Nice!
The video reminds me of my first wife, I always wondered what she was thinking when she looked at me that way.
Gary Green-go hit the PSD tab!
I'm glad you got it out of your system, but please.....

That video - don't watch it or be forever scar(r)ed!
This is pretty close to "pop" for my taste, but somehow this really hooks me! Plus, gotta love the group name.

This is one I would only wish on my enemies.  Unfortunately the lead singer for this band looks remarkably like an over-sized ewok, so now that song from the end of "Jedi" is all I hear when this band's music is played.
An underrated band. Love them!

Truer words...

There are good things in Canada.  This is one of them.

There are good things in Canada. This is not one of them.

Whoa.. never seen that vid before, and I don't plan on watching it again.  It's appropriate, given the news of the past few weeks here in Canada...

This song *does* grown on you!

SUCH A RAD SONG!!!
Played this for my wife a few weeks ago.  She really liked the song and then shot me a very suspicious look.  I'd have been offened, but I'd have done the same thing if she played this for me.

Besides, my dad always said that "a little healthy paranoia never killed anyone, but a lack of healthy paranoia has."

Sorry for posting that video link without a warning.  I still think it is an interesting video, but my sensibilities are obviously different than most.

Thanks for the warning, I won't bother.
I prefer my own imagination when I listen to music.

Oh, you spoiled it for the rest of us!  {#Eek}

Thanks for the warning, seriously. Given all the work that goes into making even a music video, you have to wonder why the band decided to give us this unpleasantness.

Not a bad song, though...

5/6/14: mercifully, I've forgotten just what I saw when watching this video. Tonight, this song is a bit draggy and tired.
I want something lower than 1 for this.
Good song; horrible video. They could have conveyed the same story without the repeated close-up shots of axe hacking arm....
Congregation - repeat my words!
HALLELUJA!

After two hours of great music,
Bill-the-sinner fell into a big depression!

HALLELUJA!

Pray for our friend and saviour!

Help him to get out of that dark hole!

HALLELUJA!

WE LOVE YOU BILL - YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
We are with you - if you need us!

HALLELUJA!

Even the darkest hours will pass!
You might be a (musical) sinner - at times,
but
together

HALLULUJA

we help you to get over it!

AMEN!

Not feeling this AT ALL
SIMPLE & BAD = 2

Not for me - the song or (ICK!) video.  Guh - some things one simply cannot un-see. {#Eek}

great band, crap song.
I liked this one, all to all, and world sick (I bought it for World Sick), but the rest of the album is average at best...

Indeed. This CD is chocked full of good ones.
Just saw these guys Saturday night and they're a tight band.  Love how they swap out instruments and seem to be having a great time.
I'm taking this up to nine today.
Tired, starting my third 12 hour overnight shift working solo at an IT service desk in a row, have about 10 problems to try to fix and all I want to do is go to sleep.

Until this song.  It's dark and haunting and I can't help but to bob my head with a half smile.  This is really hitting the spot for me.  I can go get some stuff done now.  Thanks RP.

It's alright, it just gets old after a while.

They DO have other songs....
Love this song, but it's scary.
This one AGAIN?
Not typically a huge fan of BSS, but this song is very good.

Need to add this one to my list....love it so much

Yep, it sure is.
Feist singing two songs within 10 minutes? I'm cool with that. Especially since she's channelling her inner Cat Power on this one.

First time for me, love the vocals. The Sweetest Kill huh?  I'll remember this. 7.

Love the National, Arcade Fire can be great,  but this does absolutely nothing for me.  Maybe with repeated listenings?  A 4 for now - Acceptable.

I'm guessing that is Leslie Feist joining in on vocals? Great album. {#Music}

Ugh... a pox on this tedious song.
I'm thinking 8 for now. This song gets better every time I hear it.
The best song of 2010.
Thanks Bill - I was humming along to this as I was riding to work.  Must have..{#Dancingbanana_2}
After Shatner's rocking "Common People" this comes over as quite tedious and mundane.
Hey Bill, did the CRTC step in here?  Three Canadian songs in a row!
LOVE THIS
First time hearing this. Really like!
Not bad!

Love this CD.

I'm really drawn to this song. I checked out Youtube for a vid however only I found the live version which has a very different sound. Still enjoyable though.
