I will shape myself into your pocket
Invisible, do what you want, do what you want
I will shrink and I will disappear
I will slip into the groove and cut me up, and cut me up
There's an empty space inside my heart where the weeds take root
So now I'll set you free, I'll set you free
There's an empty space inside my heart where the weeds take root
Tonight I'll set you free, I'll set you free

Slowly we unfurl as lotus flowers
'Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
Just to see what it is, just to see what is I can't kick the habit
Just to feed your fast ballooning head, listen to your heart

We will shrink and be quiet as mice while the cat is away
Do what we want, do what we want
There's an empty space inside my heart where the weeds take root
So now I set you free, I set you free

'Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
Just to see what if, just to see what is
Put the lotus flower into my room
Slowly we unfurl as lotus flowers
'Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
I dance around a pit, the darkness is beneath, I can't kick your habit
Just to feed your fast ballooning head, listen to your heart

Agree. Colin Greenwood recently said they are playing together again now, so fingers crossed.

In the meantime the new Smile album "Cutouts" is excellent (the best of their 3 albums IMHO).
This band is uncannily skilled at producing transcendent soundscapes!

I have no idea what Thom is saying in the lyrics, but that isn't the point.  His voice is like another instrument.  He could be singing about fluffy kittens and the song would still sound dark.

Really liking this.

It's all fun and games until those fluffy kittens metaphorically disembowel you and begin feasting on the splayed innards of your unrequited love...  Yeah, I would buy that album.

Bravo! Don't Crush that Dwarf Hand Me the Pliers  Probably Firesign's greatest album.
Still waiting on The Smile on RP. A handful of very RP worthy tracks! BTW - that whole album is great - definitely worth getting involved.
Need more RADIOHEAD

Perhaps their worst album overall, coming from a die-hard fan. This means, better than most of the "stuff" out there. But I do like this track and a couple of others. If you want to do deeper with Radiohead - do NOT start with this album ;)

How much better for the thousands here who like this song for you to have just hit the PSD button instead of leaving a shite comment like this.
The video for this song is even better than the song. Check it out.
Oh no, 2011, no way, it's only a couple of years ago surely, but this always reminds me of the collabaration (?) with P.J Harvey on her "This mess we're in" from the year 2000.

Gif of earnest young man in gray suit from 50s-60s film saying "Thank you thank you again and again!"

Voices of reason in a sea of warble-angst insanity. I would happily buy a desert island for Thom Yorke if I could strand him there.
Always engaging this one....

Eeoww!! Lotus flower!
Played U2's Pop the other day; couldn't help but notice: seems lots of similar experimental vibes going on in this one — and I LIKE it!

I really dislike this mix. The percussive effects are WAY too loud, taking over the song IMO. Too bad, as it might be a decent tune otherwise, but I can't take the thrashing in my ears ...

The Bassline is so captivating. One of my favorite Radiohead tunes. I ll go for a solid 8.
It would be interesting to hear this sung by James Dewar, someone with some vocal gravitas.
I dig this for the deep growly bass. The rest is OK enough.
Painful - I'll take nails on a chalkboard over this.  Time for the PSD button!
I'm okay with this song, except when Thom Yorke occasionally shakes that box of pasta in my right ear.

As they say: meh.

Actually, I think that is his normal voice (not the falsetto part, o' course). Lots of people seem to hate it. I dig it, but that might have to do with the fact that I like the band a lot.

Very much towards the more 'scratchy' end of their spectrum. And very good.
Still my favorite song to run to. {#Good-vibes}

Thank you, PSD Fairy.
I love this song and the video is amazing!!  Thanks RP!!
Aaaaahhhh, at last, Radiohead.

Yes, flame wars is a good description. RT's comments in the forum were very different in tone from his song comments. He seemed to court controversy over there. He made some enemies with his frequent, highly opinionated political posts and created a bit of a stir with some, er, suggestive photos and comments. Things reached a tipping point when he posted several comments over the course of a couple days in which he went after one of his "enemies" and also posted some stuff that was just obnoxious, apparently with the goal of drawing attention to himself. I think it's quite possible that BillG had already warned him and decided enough was enough... You're a smart man to stay away from the forum. Lots of bickering, particularly in the recent political threads. They're like a train wreck that you can't help but look at.

Stooshies - I just learned a new word. {#Lol} {#Cheers}

Nope - I'm not a fan!

This is quite intriguing, especially the bass.  It's really nice to finally get to the point where Thom Yorke's higher register doesn't annoy me to the point where I can't enjoy the piece.
{#Dancingbanana}There should be a Tom dancing between these emoticons, but the banana is ok to describe this song.

You're possibly the only one struggling over it.  You're not required to "really like" them, are you?
There's something depressing about listening to really, really cool music when you recently did something that makes you feel like an idiot. Maybe after this song we can have some Franti to make me feel better about feeling like a twit.

You're not the only one. I really want to like RH - their "pay what you want" experiment and their independence from major labels is admirable. The music and atmospherics are pretty cool. I think this hit the nail on the head for me also.  Musically this is pretty good, but I just really can't get my ears around the voice.

Ditto. Don't get what the big deal is about this band. And you could try hockey instead of football.
