Lonely is the night
Now that darkness has fallin'
And the world is callin'
Nothing seems right
Everybody's looking back
As the wind comes whispering by
They're waitin' for the answers then
Like the time they heard a cry
Hang on
I know
Don't ever go
Life's here
Wind called on me
How it took me by surprise
Creeping through the distant skies
Cause night come upon me
Wind tell me what you can
A breeze blew and whispered then
In a voice rich as the sun
'Bout the life - What I came from
Hang on
I know
Don't ever go
Life's here
Now that darkness has fallin'
And the world is callin'
Nothing seems right
Everybody's looking back
As the wind comes whispering by
They're waitin' for the answers then

Takes me back to the days as a progressive FM Jock> You would always say Spooky Tooth very slowly and ominously.
When I was young, it was during the 70th, always when I heard Spooky Tooth I asked the DJ to please crank it up as far as possible
I haven't heard that in decades, no-one plays Loggins and Messina and they were so great back then
love harrisons vocals / his solo work was worth having as well !
Spooky Tooth - I wonder where that name came from and if it has anything to do with Zombie Woof?

Those opening chords remind of Joe Walsh's guitar intro to "In The City". This is pretty cool. The guy in the upper left looks like he's gonna eat the other guy's brains.
Rock on, you crazy dental Halloween caped crusader.
looks an awful-lot like a young Clive Owen about to bite into that skull, eh? love this tune mega

Coming in during the middle of the song, the pair of keyboard chords kept reminding me of Joe Walsh's "Survival in the City". Than I cicked onto the site tab and...Spooky Tooth from 1969. so if anyone did any copying, it sure wasn't these guys.
Great stuff... it's aged well.
waycool man
Holy Spooky-toothed blast from the past, Batman! Hints of Gary Wright's big hit "My Love Is Alive" in here for sure; how cool was this?!

THANK YOU! I haven't heard this song in ages. I don't have a turn table any more. So most of my old beloved music doesn't reach my ears, except when you play it :) Play more Spooky Tooth!!! Please.
Did Bill just let his talk break bleed over the music intro to a song?! May have been the first time I've ever heard hm do that—and I really liked it! He was subtle about it—only a few seconds, but verrry cool.
AWESOME! one of the first hard rock albums.
My band even covered this recently.
Thanks,

MAN! When was the last time you heard Spooky Tooth on RP?
Great stab from the past. Now I'm hearing some things that I don't hear all the time. btw: Loved the Firesign intro earlier—although it really opened my up to all the silly FST memorized but cobwebbed stuff in my head.
Thanks Bill, to dig it out from the long gone memories, it made my day!
Wow ! An old favorite lost to my ears for ages.
Nice to hear it again and again in the future.
And another vote for their cover of I Am The Walrus.
