You can stop your crying, I'm never coming back
You can stop your crying, just walk down the tracks again
I just can't take the pressure, it's all too much for me
I just can't take the pressure, please just let me be
See I've been, breaking hearts, for far too long
Loving you, for far too long,
Making plans now, for far too long
Yes I've been breaking hearts, for far too long
Loving you, for far too long,
It's time I leave, it's time I'm moving on.
I'm gonna find a city, call the streets my own
I'm gonna find a city, drink until it's gone
The girls there, look so pretty, treat me oh so well
The girls there look so pretty, they're all just empty shells to me
See I've been, breaking hearts, for far too long
Loving you, for far too long,
Making plans now, for far too long
Yes I've been breaking hearts, for far too long
Loving you, for far too long,
It's time I leave, it's time I'm moving on.
When I need the shelter, I'll know just who to call
When I need the shelter, knocking on your door
But when it comes to dying, I'll do it on my own
I've never been too clever, I've always just hung on.
See I've been, breaking hearts, for far too long
Loving you, for far too long,
Making plans now, for far too long
Yes I've been breaking hearts, for far too long
Loving you, for far too long,
It's time I leave, it's time I'm moving on.

This did not move me either musically or intellectually. No rating.
The chorus is very like my old private school boating song.
8 it up for me as well. I think we perceive what we believe soooooo… I love it

I agree, a bit too formulaic and immature for my taste too. Now, as far the song goes, the layers of pathos only get deeper upon reading the lyrics after listening to it. Thinking back on the 'sound' behind those words, that laid the gentle foundation this perceptive and disturbing poem required. Yea, 8 it up.
A bit too formulaic with immature lyrics for my taste. Yea, PSD - I'm just saying

Absolutely, this is lovely stuff.
Nice. Hard 7 for now. Possibly moving to an 8 soon.

Great song from a CD I warmly recommend.
The nice countripolitan piano kicks it up a notch for me...
