The fractal multi-symmetrical cover is a good illustration (sic) of why we should keep the art of the album cover going in these days of online music. It definitely adds to the music in this case.

It's a style of music which long preceded Stereolab : Velvet Underground, Silver Apples, '60s psychedelia, etc. It is likely these guys were influenced by Stereolab though.
Why is it anytime an artist or artists reflect the work of another artist it is thievery. Is there no possibility they could be students? Some industries are impressed by credentials. Artists are inspired by the work of other artists they respect. This why folk songs are performed for so long their origins are obscured and they are covered by generations of players.

Nothing original, Stereolab made this music many years ago.

Got a sucko-barfo rating because of the sax solo. Pretty much any sax solo will degrade the rating of song, but this is just excessive - too many solos for too long.
It's really good and tasty! I especially like the Dick Parry-like sax rant at the end!

I can see Stereolab too, but just tuned in to comment that I'm hearing some Sonic Youth.
Lots of Stereolab vibes here (which is meant as a compliment!). Looking forward to hearing more from this band. Thanks RP!

OMG that is too funny - I never would have thought about that song again in my lifetime - had to look up the lyrics - you are right of course!

Definitely some Wire influence...(and that is good)
Gorgeous album art

If 6.2 is "too damn low" I would suggest a rating higher than 7 to move the ratings meter up a smidge.
The above comment came from the left side of my brain. The right side simply likes the tune.

Way to flush dm out Bill. Most Canadians would know this too. This is the first time I saw this post or I would have beat you to it.

I like it! The sax is great and also has hints of Wire in there too.

Started with 7, finished with 8. Thanks to the sax in the final part.

Sax pushes it to open with a 7 from south of the Willy B.
Interesting blend of various styles - I think I really liked that on first listen...
Bill please stop exposing me to awesome new music, I have albums from 2018 I still haven't checked out...

Possible lyrics:
Lonely feeling deep inside
Find a corner where I can hide
Silent footsteps crowding me
Sudden darkness but I can see

More, please.
2nd listen and I am sticking with my initial rating of 4.
interesting!
Interesting. First time I have heard it. The album art is fantastic. I'm from the era when we used to read and study the album cover from front to back.
Thank Bill for constantly throwing new stuff at us that makes us sit up and take note and oftentimes say "What the heck?" This one definitely made me look.
Very nice sound. Love the sax work. A 5.8 rating is too low !
When I came here to check, I thought it was going to be Stereolab. Very excited now to check out the rest of this band's material.
When I have to check the music, I know I'm on to something intriguing. Different and progressive I'd say...
There are now two comments for this song.
Another first today, but there are ratings already.
