I heard of the virtue of a patient heart
So I'll just stick around 'till you can tell me apart
Oh, it's haunting the way I can't keep you off my mind
Is that same mind now making up its own signs?

Guess I will know in time
I'm not in a hurry now

And if I linger on
'Till it comes in my direction
Let me linger on
'Till you give me your affection
And if I linger on
'Till it comes in my direction
Let me linger on
'Till you give me your affection

They say I'm a fool for waiting such a long time
But don't be worried, darling: this fool said that he doesn't mind
You know where to find me at the end of the line

It's all about thе right time
I'm not in a hurry now

And if I linger on
'Till it comes in my dirеction
Let me linger on
'Till you give me your affection
And if I linger on
'Till it comes in my direction
Let me linger on
'Till you give me your affection

I'm not in a hurry now
I'm not in a hurry now

And if I linger on
'Till it comes in my direction
Let me linger on
'Till you give me your affection
And if I linger on
'Till it comes in my direction
Let me linger on
'Till you give me your affection

Daft Punk, call your attorney!!

I get the Daft Punk similarity.
The guitar rhythm guitar also gives me a late 70's feel (kinda disco).
But this is not a disco tune.
It's growing in appeal to me with every listen.

Definitely a tune you have to hear repeatedly to hear it unfold. As with more Balthazar songs.

Perhaps you mean Nile Rodgers vibes :-)

There is a low-pass filter on the guitar, occasionally sweeping higher or lower; an effect often used with synthesizers to add expression. Here it has a nice effect of changing how the guitar sits in the mix or making it more or less "bright" at different times. The sound is different than typical EQ-based mixing techniques.
C'est chic!
Not bad... but without any surprise. 10.000 times heard guitar riff, 100.000 times heard bass groove.
Next!
Everytime I hear this I think, Oh Arcade Fire.

Both Balthazar and Roosevelt have their typical sound, which is great but gets old quickly once listening to more songs in a row.

Perfect for radio and always nice to hear Belgian bands on RP (Belgians best exported products are bands and beers!).

Also loved Moules-frite when I lived there.  Still do btw.

OK, so it's a Disco /Funk fusion.

i like it! i'm picturing the people from Soul Train doing their couples line up dancing.

I thought the object on the left was a giant fedora. Is it me?
A new cool groove, start with a 7

I saw the giant fedora before I saw the chair
+1 for a particularly cool band name.
The intro reminds me "Going back to my roots", by Richie Havens
Dare I say Disco?

I hear Parcels, but with a deeper voice.
Yeah, just last week RP was playing this and I had a visitor here, she asked "Did he really just say 'come to your erection'?"

The band must be doing this intentionally because he's REALLY slurring that "direction" word.

Have to admit I heard the same thing.   Linger on.......
Damn thats funky!
What this song lacks in creativity it makes up for in monotony.

Meanwhile, I'm reminded of the wonderful Junior Boys.
Cool groove.
very nice!

Same! Came here to see if that's who this was.
Ce n'est pas Chic...

So where do you classify Arcade Fire?

Don't like much of their stuff - but thats what PSD is for, right?
(and to each their own...)

You mean their ABBA tune?

It's not a Disco tune? Can you defend that sentiment?  Much more Disco than Daft Punk.

This is groovy!
This reminds me how much we need daft punk on RP
Chic, "Le Freak" guitar. LOL good shit!
What a pleasant surprise. RP rules!

It's more Nile Rodgers, which is where Daft Punk got it from in the first place. It's also, probably, why I like it.

Nope.  Me too.

It's a seat.
This beat seems to be popping up a lot lately. Sounds a bit like that tune from The Avener.

Yes I also hear a little bit of Daft Punk and Arcade Fire in this one! But you can´t say that they stole a song. They combined old and new ideas and made this their own one

Flickerings of an Arcade Fire  .. !?
I have a sneaking suspicion that if this track remains on BillG's radar 5 years hence, folks will be commenting that it gets overplayed.  I'll just leave this here and see what happens...
They copied Nile Rodgers.

Ce n'est pas chique. But who cares! It's got a nice groove.

I like the texture of the guitar…
