Gettin' reminders, our freedom
Instant power that we don't control
And it's just like that, trees are dyin'
In the mind of the road
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh
A transit, only passenger
On the mind of the road
Deep cutting holy acid
We've been gone for a war
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Gettin' reminders, our freedom
Instant power that we don't control
And it's just like that, trees are dyin'
In the mind of the road
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh-oh, oh-oh-oh

Lovely
Thanks so much again for the wonderful musical gifts.

raised it to an 8. I found myself clapping at the beginning of the song.
Love this.
Had me at the sound of the horn from Beirut (Zach, likely).  Very recognizable!
The trumpet solo is perfect here.
Picking up that I'm digging Beirut's sound quite a lot...heard it floating around on this track and, of course, had to stop what I was doing to confirm.  Thanks, William and Co., now could you please let me know what I was doing before I was so pleasantly interrupted?
thought it was 'Efterlang' and wondered about it following k.d.'s version of a Neil Young tune
I'm quite liking this!
Heard this for the first time tonight, immediately bought the single!

Only a Misterbearbaby could have made that comment.  :-)

I hear no keyboards at all in this.  I hear guitar, percussion, and a beautiful trumpet solo from Beirut — all in service of a very thoughtful & lovely song.

Very much "actual music", in other words.

I don't usually call people out on their opinions, but sometimes you're just... wrong.

Horns and handclaps
