Early morning I rise
To the locals watching me
Make my way through the night
To the so-called jubilee
(Ooh-ooh) lowdown
I'm lowdown tonight
(Ooh-ooh) lowdown
I'm so down and out
In this time
I've been wrong half the time
Gotta wonder how I survived
I've been losing my touch
I've fallen under, I've had enough
(Ooh-ooh) lowdown
I'm lowdown tonight
(Ooh-ooh) lowdown
I'm so down and out
In this time
(Ooh-ooh) lowdown
I'm lowdown tonight
(Ooh-ooh) lowdown
I'm so down and out
In this time
(Ooh, ooh-ooh)
(Ooh, ooh-ooh)

I hear more and more his music here, and I like it more and more.  Dreamy, unusual, lovely melodies are good for hooks and a replays.
this gets better every time I hear it. got to be a good thing right?
an instant classic
I hear Jimi Hendrix
One of those songs that sounds like an old classic right off the bat
Sounds like Michaels's been spending a decent amount of time listening to The Beta Band. Not that I object. Maybe he just wants to sell his five copies of The Three EP's.
Kind of a Cowboy Junkies-style beginning, and I like it! And yes, a bit of Blur in the way he sings, too... A thrilling new direction for him, I think. What a talent!
I found myself wanting to sing along to this. It's an easy song to pick up, and the groove is very relaxed.  Solid new track.
Nice!  I thought I was listening to Beck at first.
I have a knee-jerk reaction to rate any song from him a 9. I'm sure it will eventually be a 10!
Sounds a little bit like Damon Albarn... definitively not bad. :-)
Likely just me but hearing this in the background I had initially thought it was Damon Albarn singing.  Digging the song so far and looking forward to hearing more off his forthcoming album.  Thanks RP.
Voice sounds a lot like Hendrix on this one, except he carries a tune a bit better.

I actually came here to see what Hendrix song I somehow didn't hear before after all these years.
This artist, invariably, makes me stop what I am doing to begin actively listening rather than passively playing in the background.  Says tons about his talents...
Another great track from Michael Kiwanuka
