This guy was no doubt a huge influence on B.B. King when B.B. was just starting out.
Meh...
Not much here.
Sounds like a typical guitar player you hear on a weekend in a blues bar. Maybe even pay cover and this is warm up band.

Can't believe I haven't heard this tune on RP before.
Looking at the timeline of comments, I'm guessing it isn't in rotation very often.
Solid 7 to start me off.

Love the description in your second last sentence!
Robben Ford caught my attention years ago when he first appeared on the 1974 Tom Scott and the L.A. Express album 'Tom Cat.' Scott chose Ford, just a kid, to replace Larry Carlton when Carlton left the group. Ford has been as varied as he has been amazing ever since. Always years beyond his age. Hearing this song is like sampling the owner's reserve, standing next to the barrel, at a private wine tasting. Good choice Bill. Viva RP!

Got the head bobbin' - and on a dreary mid-winter Thursday, that's an achievement! Worth at least a 7 in my book.

Went from an 8 to a 9. I have almost all of his CD's including a few bootlegged ones. Very original guitar technique.

It'd be nice to hear the original, by Ann Peebles. I have it on vinyl. It came out decades before Tina Turner covered it.
I had no idea that Tina Turner covered it, only that Missy Elliot had sampled it...
More importantly, which would be the mommy, and would they opt for a C-section?

Doesn't he look like that psycho in "Silence of the Lambs'? Not Hannibal , the guy who kept the girl in the well. Great Blues guy. Robben Ford, not the psycho.
Buffaloe Bill. Only this guy can play!

Each time I hear this, I move it up one point

I have this! maybe I will upload it
I saw this guy about a month ago with Eric Bibb and John Mayall and what a great guy to see live, if you get the chance make sure and go.
Whoa...awesome bluesy sound!
I REALLY like this, but I'm afraid that if I ran into that man in a bar (in..Cairo? by the looks of the album cover), I would not let him buy me a drink.
a great instrumental from a great guitar player. he used play with Miles Davis and has done some real amazing stuff since then. i like him best live.

Oh yeah, here's the good stuff, kiddies...
nice robe tweeter! F.
nice tune, but come on...terrible album cover!
This song always make me think of Lowell George and his great version on "Thanks, I'll eat it here".
This version has got a pretty good groove going too.
Honest music! A fat 9.
First time I've heard Robben Ford, and I like! Got a very authentic, gritty, irresistible sound going on here!

What clean guitar work. Good stuff!
Bit of Stevie Ray Vaughn, a bit of Gary Moore, a bit of B B King.
I like it!
normally not too much into Robben Ford (although he\'s a great guitar player) but I like this one. Somewhere his playing reminds me a bit of B.B. King, it\'s some of those phrases I think.
This dude can make his guitar, sing, weep and moan. He\'s great.
