Pushing the barrier, planting seed
Playing the mind guerrilla
Chanting the mantra, peace on Earth
We all been playing those mind games forever
Some kinda druid dude lifting the veil
Doing the mind guerrilla
Some call it magic, the search for the grail
Love is the answer
And you know that for sure
Love is a flower
You got to let it, you got to let it grow
So keep on playing those mind games together
Faith in the future, out of the now
You just can't beat on those mind guerrillas
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind
Yeah, we're playing those mind games forever
Projecting our images in space and in time
Yes is the answer
And you know that for sure
Yes is surrender
You got to let it, you got to let it go
So keep on playing those mind games together
Doing the ritual dance in the sun
Millions of mind guerrillas
Putting their soul power to the karmic wheel
Keep on playing those mind games forever
Raising the spirit of peace and love
Love
I want you to make love, not war
I know you've heard it before
"Yes is the answer, and you know that for sure. Yes is surrender, you've got to let it go"
Daily self-affirmations. Such simple prescriptions for a lifetime of happiness and the good will that love brings.
And what's so funny about peace, love, and understanding?
This.
This song is me, aged 14, lying in bed, singing myself to sleep.
Yes is the answer.
You gotta let it go.

YES is the answer
..you know that, for sho'..
Yes that's what you get when you PSD good songs!
Well, it's a lot better than I could ever do. Still, it looks like the triploid love child of Lennon, Peter Townshend and Ringo.
I don't know love stops them but I do know F-15s, M1As and Marines don't.
There's hope for you yet
I don't want to go to there.
I was home watching Monday Night Football when Howard Cosell interrupted the game with the news.
I stayed up all night listening to Vin Scelsa on WNEW in New York playing Lennon music and talking us through. I will never forget Vin for this.
On December 1980, I was studying in London and was alternately angered, saddened, apologetic and embarrassed about the death of beauty in a country that had been choosing between a peanut farmer and actor for President.
I was in second grade. Came home from school on Dec. 9 to find my brother, a kindergartener who had the AM class and a huge fan of The Beatles and especially the cartoon version of them (as was I), crying as he watched the television coverage in the living room. Young as I was at the time, I will never forget that moment as long as I live - it is still so vivid and sad in my mind.

I don't know, it is pretty close, I love it!
You know, I hate to admit it, but I feel the same way about most of it.
It seems like John and Paul both recorded their best stuff when they had each other to argue with.
I know what you mean, but it's easy to make such a broad assumption. I don't personally find "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", "Run For Your Life", "Bungalo Bill", or "Love Me Do" (as random examples) to be better than this song.
Here is the third!
I hope you're referring to me with that comment!
...seriously. Hmmm, now about that nap.
I was on my way to work on December 9th in 1980 when Q104 interrupted the song that was playing to announce that John had been shot and killed the night before . . . I had to pull the car over to the side of the road. . .

How about the Three Muskaphilistines ?
Here is the third!
Love doesn't stop lunatics with attack helicopters, mustard gas and genocide on the mind, but F-15s, M1A2 tanks and US Marines do.

How to win the hearts and minds of absolutely NO-BODY ! Just who the hell is the "Radical Sect"

I was in Music class, I was 12, the teacher was crying and he told us why.
Alrighty then....sorry for you, I guess.....
Guano happens! ;)
Totally agree, so they can call us both Philistines.

I agree...there were a couple of good one's on "Walls and Bridges" not up to the Beatles standard though, he needed the other three (even Ringo)
Yeah, gee, it all sounds so much the same, sheesh. (Go away.)

(about Mind Games)
and because is Christmas....
"Merry Xmas Everybody" is a single released in December 1973 by the english glam rock Band "Slade" and recorded in New York in mid 1973, in an adjoining studio, where John Lennon was working on his album Mind Games; Slade and manager/producer Chas Chandler experimented some dificultyes in this theme, and John Lennon give help, turned up with a harmonium he was about to use in the studio next door; "Merry Xmas Everybody" probably one of best obtained and famous songs of Christmas, probably.....
note: i have this song enclosed in a Compilation of the Band "Slade" and i would like to hear this song here in RP Station, but i am not very made familiar to the correct procedures of uploads, if somebody will be interested and can give an aid... ty;
this is my contribution to celebrate the Christmas here in RP Station!

no - however, the 12th of never is still vivid
it's all in your head!
Oh, yes, I'm so sure that a superannuated rock star would have woken up the masses to The Truth and stopped that war dead in its tracks, yessiree. Give me a break.
