Desmond has a barrow in the market place
Molly is the singer in a band
Desmond says to Molly - girl I like your face
And Molly says this as she takes him by the hand.

Obladi oblada life goes on bra
Lala how the life goes on
Obladi Oblada life goes on bra
Lala how the life goes on.

Desmond takes a trolly to the jeweler's store
Buys a twenty carat golden ring
Takes it back to Molly waiting at the door
And as he gives it to her she begins to sing.

In a couple of years they have built
A home sweet home
With a couple of kids running in the yard
Of Desmond and Molly Jones.

Happy ever after in the market place
Desmond lets the children lend a hand
Molly stays at home and does her pretty face
And in the evening she's a singer with the band.

In a couple of years they have built
A home sweet home
With a couple of kids running in the yard
Of Desmond and Molly Jones.

Happy ever after in the market place
Molly lets the children lend a hand
Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face
And in the evening she's a singer with the band.

And if you want some fun - sing Obladiblada.

I don't hate this but I think it's not good.
The single-worst Beatles tune, covered reggae-style with ersatz electronic backing. What's not to love.
A for effort

I'll see your 10 and give it a 1 to cancel you out.
Meh... too clownish?

In the end you are just trying to piss off fellow RP listeners - so just chill please.

Great little cover. The lyrics really lend themselves to a ska style, so hearing it this way doesn't surprise me at all. Had me bouncing around in my chair at work!

McCartney had intended this to be a "ska" style song when he wrote it.
How can anyone hate such a happy song?

This song and the comments here make me want a new "Controversial" RP mix!
I see what they did there: Did the kids just get two moms at the end?

Nothin' wrong with that, in fact
bonus points for offending religious conservatives!
I feel sorry for you if you can’t appreciate the simple joy of this song, no matter who’s singing it.
A whimsical twist to the original yes but hey, not an unexpected addition to the mello mix...
Best version of this song I've heard. Thanks Jimmy!
how the heck is this "mellow"? NOPE. HATE this song.
Love the Beatles, and this is just pure fun!
Desmond Tutu
A lovely sunny song on a grey October day. Sweet!
