So the world goes round and round
With all you ever knew
They say the sky high above
Is Caribbean blue...

If every man says all he can,
If every man is true,
Do I believe the sky above
Is Caribbean blue...

... Boreas...
... Zephryus...

If all you told was turned to gold,
If all you dreamed was new,
Imagine sky high above
In Caribbean blue...

... Eurus...
Afer Ventus...
... Boreas
Zephryus...
... Africus...

RP really needs a rating like "Fine if it's your thing, but just not my jam".  I feel like such a jerk calling Enya "sucko-barfo".

My recommendation: simply do not offer a rating. I've got a pretty broad musical palette, but some genres or individual artists just don't do it for me. (For example, for some reason, Joni Mitchell's voice has always been a turn-off for me. Her writing talent is amazing; I just can't listen to her sing them. Go figure.)
I cannot see any reason to provide a rating in that circumstance.

Enya was a punchline.

and all that for a song with a 7.5 rating
Love this song. Makes me ache for the beauty of the Caribbean during this year of no travel.
Remember when I heard Enya for the first time, back in 1991. It was in a whiskey TV ad here in Mexico. There was no Shazam, Spotify, Apple Music or Google at all. It was a journey to find that she was the one... almost 20 years later, I still enjoy Watermark, Shepherd Moons, Caribbean Blue...

That's one of the funniest things I've EVER read. and I gave the song a 9.
Can RP create a fast-forward button?

The best. The best from Enya, not her fan though, but this song got under my skin. So deep.
Not a fan either; Yet, this song touches me in scary ways.
this last set has made me feel very positive and mellow.
Wish I were in the Caribbean right now!

We ladies do love to dance! Even if our partner isn't the worlds best dancer... as long as he tries At least, that's how I feel about it :)

Yep. Wore out Watermark and Shepherd Moons putting my youngest to sleep lo these many, er, moons ago.

Always beautiful, even if her music all started sounding the same by the fourth album.
I remember this song from my childhood... specifically modern dance classes on Saturday mornings. Has a certain time-suspending quality for me... is beautiful.

Repetition doesn't help - this is STILL MOR trash! Anyway my 1 managed to bring the overall rating down by 0.1 point. Every little helps.
Quite an accomplishment. Give yourself 20 dollars.

wow... Bill, you must be physic - in Ireland, Enya is regarded as a recluse. She lives in a fantastic castle on the Southside of Dublin overlooking the sea with the Wicklow mountains in the background. She very rarely gives interviews ... but, guess what - at this very moment as I listen to RP, she is being interviewed live on the Late Late Show (Irish TV) - spooky!!!!!!!!!! Besides all of that - nice in small doses!!!

Highwindows...if you find no soul in Enya's music, then I suggest you send your self flying out one of those highwindows and then you'll get it!
Enya is one of those artists you either love or hate. I'm afraid I'm in the latter category. Look at that rating distribution! It's just not to my taste.

Wear plaid and drink Guinness.
ever been to the caribbean? this would be a great soundtrack to snorkeling/diving on a reef somewhere.
I'm perfectly fine with the occasional bit of Enya. So there.
I don't like Enya--- but I can appreciate her sound. 8. Love what she did in LOTR.

OMG - Bill's playing Enya. I'm gonna need a Slayer hi-colonic after this. I have to say, I liked her stuff at first in the early 90s. Then as I listened, I realised that a lot of her stuff sounds contrived and bullshitty. Needless to say, I can't stand her. This gets a 1.
It's a beautiful piece of music

I couldn't agree more--this song touches something deep inside me. It helped me get through some of the toughest times in my life.
The beginning totally reminded me of music from "Reading Rainbow."
here it comes again.... music for Poland Springs Water commercial.
all of her songs sound exactly alike. same song differant words. by one cd of enya and forget the rest .

My dad would listen to this when he was battling with cancer so he could relax and remove himself from the pain. We would just sit and listen... not talk at all. We didn't need to. Enya's music will always stir up a memory of peacefulness, simplicity and togetherness. No soul in her music? Whatever. It runs scathingly deep for me.
I like this at night after making love.

A song's "soul" content is not necessarily based on it's level of "production". And not all production is fluff, even if Scoop the Music Critic from Spin magazine says so.
Amen. I'm so sick of self-righteous "critics" who deem themselves authorities on whether an artist has "soul" or not. Like many others who commented here, I was blown away when I first discovered Enya (via this album). There was -- and still is -- nothing else like it. I personally believe she put PLENTY of soul into it. And it speaks to mine. SO THERE! :P

Sadly she cannot sing without vocal processing. She may as well be sampled.

Well isn\'t this precious. Pass the insulin, please.

I have to agree in a limited way. I don't think Memory of trees was horrid, exactly, but it certainly was more of the same sound rehashed without some of the grandly sweeping tunes and simply poetic tunes that were so memorable from her first three efforts. Enya has given me years of pleasure (I remember the bliss of making the "discovery" of her music!), so I hope that she is able to stay innovative, and doesn't continue to make cookie cutter songs in the "Enya" style.

This was the first Enya tune I ever heard and I still love it to this day. So calming and relaxing. She has a beautiful voice.

'As Stan from South Park says about Enya: "I can't take it anymore, this music is terrible, it's, it's cheesy, but lame and eerily soothing at the same time."' Heh heh heh. And that was the one and only time South Park managed to piss me off. Love all of her stuff and this is one of my favorites.
Enya continues to produce great music. This is sooooo relaxing :)

Really, rather fantastic. You don\'t get this sort of thing any more (I must be getting old :-))
what a nice surprise to hear! takes me back to days pining after a certain boy my junior year of HS. he was really into this album... :)
Thanks so much for adding this to the playlist... Simply awesome sound
The Celts is quite a good album
A little bit of Enya is good from time to time.
