Wait in line
Till your time
Ticking clock
Everyone stop

Everyone's saying different things to me
Different things to me
Everyone's saying different things to me
Different things to me

Do you believe
In what you see
There doesn't seem to be anybody else who agrees with me

Do you believe
In what you see
Motionless wheel
Nothing is real
Wasting my time
In the waiting line
Do you believe in
What you see

Nine to five
Living lies
Everyday
Stealing time
Everyone's taking everything they can
Everything they can
Everyone's taking everything they can
Everything they can

Do you believe
In what you feel
It doesn't seem to be anybody else who agrees with me

Do you believe
In what you see
Motionless wheel
Nothing is real
Wasting my time
In the waiting line
Do you believe
In what you see

And I'll shout and I'll scream
But I'd rather not be seen
And I'll hide away for another day

Do you believe
In what you see
Motionless wheel
Nothing is real
Wasting my time
In the waiting line
Do you believe
In what you see

Everyone's saying different things to me
Different things to me
Different things to me
Different things to me
Different things to me
Everyone's taking everything they can
Everything they can

Dive in, head first; and float away. Sublime.
SUCH a great album overall. Check it out if this tune peaks your interest.
OOPs! I feel a nullness in the Force!
Six Feet Under soundtrack....most excellent!
First heard this while watching House.

Love that RP plays it!

Yup.  Too bad RP doesn't consider a channel over on the You of Tube.  But then again that beast of a site does like their commercial inserts, don't they?  Even so there's no rule RP must follow that says they can't do this here and also go for a wider audience the likes of the Tube could bring.  Plus it could open a faucet of revenue to them, too.  Anyway, just some thoughts.

I can see it already, comments full of "come on Bill, play some DJ Khaled/Drake/Post Malone/Ice Spice/etc", and somehow (maybe due to more exposure and more media people on board) those suggestions would get acted on.  That would be when RP dies.
I'm hearing shades of Hooverphonic....nice.

Great song 10.

Every time I hear this my mind goes to Zac’s Garden State trip.

I’d never heard of Z7 — and I just melted into them. Soon after,  I was listening to Radio Paradise daily.
I couldn’t get enough.

I still can’t.

I feel so sorry for people who walk around RP-less. I promote RP regularly — hope you do too.!

Welcome, Daniel.
My first exposure to RP was 'Psychotic Reaction' (of all things). Buddy of mine had it on - I'd never heard it and was blown away. He was a fan of surf music like me, but I'd never heard of Count Five (blasphemy, I know). Anyway, that was the beginning of my spiral...
c.

Sound like french group Air....

Indeed! I'm a monthly contributor.  I get that some folks feel they can't spare $.... but (realistically) so many people CAN.... ah well... I was there too, at the beginning.

Now, however, it's a privilege and (a slight?) badge of honor to regularly support them.

C'mon, peeps! Throw RP some recurring $$... for the sake of music lovers worldwide!!

Likewise. I remember thinking... "Damn! I haven't heard ANYthing like this before.... this is a great station! I want to share this music  and station with others! (and I did/do!).

RP is my "Life Soundtrack." So completely, thoroughly grateful to have found this amazing musical experience!

i hear a synth moment there that is similar, at the same time the chorus reminds me of an old Luscious Jackson tune. music is funny that way.
[ really didn't understand what all the Garden State fuss was about - but i like Wes Anderson movies...personal tastes vary, don't they?]

Hi, I'm one of the two people who downvoted it. It's a pretty cool gif but has nothing to do with this song. If you have a problem with me, we can meet in the alley...

The very first cool track I found on RP 20 years ago.

I first logged on to RP (under a different moniker) back in 2006, and like you, I found these chill-out groups to be what first hooked me on RP, then some "old" classics tied the knot that has kept me roped to these airwaves.  Now 17 years later I'm still a-listening.  My 9 rating on this one hasn't budged since then either.

Funny reading my old-old comments, I tended to be more snarky and negative, and as I've gotten older I've mellowed out a lot.  Still a bit subtle and sarcastic, though I do try to remain positive and thankful for this musical oasis we're all blessed to enjoy.

Long Live Radio Paradise!!

Simply the greatest chill-out album ever made…in my very humble opinion.
 rocklandlove wrote:

This tune is disturbingly similar to Sheryl Crow's "Home" - from the melody, to the voice - even to the instrumentation and production...

It is somewhat similar in parts - not "disturbingly" so to me.  The instrumentation is quite different - there are no acoustic guitars or slide guitars in this.  Different chord progression.
Turned a Canadian hitchhiker onto this when I picked her up in the North Cascades years ago. It was sweet not talking much on our way down to Seattle, just listening and appreciating together.

I first heard this on a Ministry of Sound Chillout Mix 2002. Always takes me back.
Whenever I find myself in a long line - like last March when I sat in seemingly endless online queues trying to get a vaccine appointment - this song just starts playing in a loop in my brain.  Of course, in retrospect, I should have just waited a couple months and then someone would have been at my door with three flavors of vaccine and a gift card . . .

You got a mention from Bill G. Ultimate complement.
A bit of Cinematic Orchestra and Air....

(needless to say: solid 8)
If a track makes me feel like i liquefy, i shall give it a 9.
Reminds me of Luscious Jackson... and you could play them anytime too!

Wasn't sure what I thought of this song when I first heard it but now I love it. Looks like RP just cost me some more money.

I agree with the last 5 comments. First heard it in Garden State. Always LOVE hearing this song!

Perfect 10.
Such a great segue song.  I imagine this is what was playing in the 'Waiting Place' as described by Seuss in 'All The Places You'll Go'

three 9's in a row...thanks a lot!!
This song always makes me wish I was driving up the 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara, with the sun making dazzling sun diamonds on the ocean, and the sea breeze blowing through the car windows.....
