Waiting, got no town to hide in
The country's got a hold of my soul
TV's dead and there ain't no war in my head, now
And you seem very beautiful to me

Sleeping but my work's not done
I could be lying on an atom bomb
I'll take care
Cause I know you'll be there
You seem very beautiful to me

It's the rest of your life, keeps rolling and rolling
Picture in my pocket, looks like you
It's the rest of your life. keeps rolling, rolling, rolling along

What a bummer ... after S & G's "For Emily, Wherever I ..." Jeesh. Sucked all the air out of the atmosphere. Quick - hit that 'next' button.

It was by banksy.

Dang, I need to get me one of those talent-o-meters so I can keep track.

Me too.  Clearly it must be objectively measurable, rather than just a reflection of the poster's personal taste, which I mistakenly first thought.
I really love this song. It sparks my emotions, my imagination. It brings me back to the time and place where I heard it for the first time.

Blur's music shows that "marching to a different drummer" can be inspired. Contrast that with, say, Modest Mouse, where a lack of talent is mistaken for "marching to a different drummer." That's why Blur's music is still on so many Ipods. Five years from now, M.M. will be lucky to get a weekday club date back here in Portland.

A very Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand feel to it.

Mr Albarn's a very clever man.

You betcha.  almost TOO similar.
What a lovely little tune—perfect for a breezy summer's day

I agree completely! MM will be lucky to play back home at the VFW hall in Issaquah. The only people who would show up would be 30yr olds still wearing day glow lip gloss and gummi bracelets... Mangoman wrote:

Half nonsense. Specifically, the half about Modest Mouse. Nice set!

Disappointment of 13? That album was kickass!
And this is the genius behind Gorillaz?
easy song good song
Eponymous. Not great, but good.
Can anyone upload some of Albarn's stuff from the "Ordinary Decent Criminals" soundtrack? I went to buy it, but it's only offered as an import, and rather pricey at that...Great music though.
snoozer... sounds like cheap radiohead and that's not in a good way... who listns to this?

Yeah, yeah, Blur is back, great... What I really want to know is what happened to homeboy's girlfriend Justine Frischman?? Will she ever record again?
Elastica's CD "Menace" was released in 2000 if you didn't already know.
god I hate this kind of crap
A real return to form for Blur after some of Damon Albarn's side projects, the disappointment of "13", the departure of Graham Coxon etc. etc Right now, the one Blur tune everybody wants to hear is the call sign they composed for Beagle 2, the probe that was to land on Mars on Christmas Day. However, as of today, there's been no signal from Beagle.
"Good Song"? I'm glad THEY like it!
"I been downhearted baby I been downhearted baby Since the day we met Ever since the day we met I been downhearted baby... " Primitive Radio Gods "Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand" Same tune, right?
yes
Great song! When can we hear "Out of time"? Thanks.

It's so cool to hear the tunes you uploaded on RP, isn't it? I'm running around the office telling everyone, "hey this is my song!" I know, I'm a dork. Great album though. Probably the best one I've heard all year. One of those collections of songs that you are so anxious to share with others.
Did you try uploading "Crazy Beat" also?
I was hoping I would start hearing this album on RP. I just picked it up over the weekend and I'm thoroughly impressed; this band continues to tinker with their sound and experiment.
