Think of the changes he saw in his too short life:
Born in Highfield, Rhodesia
Died in Harare, Zimbabwe
The very same place under new management.
What an eminently stupid thing to write. If there was ever one category for anglophone music and a second for everything "ethnic", and by extension a double standard maintained therein, those days are long gone (thankfully). Welcome to the rest of the world, check your narrowmindedness at the door please. karljonasson wrote:
Personally I think there's some truth in it. But nobody will ever know anyway. It says nothing about narrowmindedness though per se, more about someone's perception (whether it represents reality or not) on how a lot of people often behave.

I've seen this man in concert this past fall (great show) He's from Zimbabwe, is very famous there, has put out dozens of albums in Africa (only a few have been released in the US). He speaks out against oppression in his country, and won't be silenced, even tho' it is dangerous to voice the troubles of his people. Check out his album, put out by Putamayo, called Tuku Music (his nickname is Tuku).
You could also try this Tiny Desk performance. The whole thing is worth watching, but I especially like the final song, Haidyoreke, where they really get into the groove and are clearly having a whale of a time.
If you don't like it, hit the "Skip button" & shut up! ...problem solved! ...you have made that same comment MANY times on RP! ...get creative & come up with a new one!
Are you really the one to be making a remark on someone's REPETITIVE comments? SMH
In the immortal words of Joe Strummer: "f*ckin' long, innit?" ;-(

This...this right here is why I love RP. I don't think I'd have ever heard this man's beautiful music if it weren't for RP. Thanks Bill!!!
I Agree! That is why we come here! Thanx RP!
Same if you're a Yes fan, right?
"Going for the one
Going for-ward to
Listen in time
Taken so high
To touch, to move
Listen to life
Touching, touch time
Travel, twilight
Taken so high
Roundabout, sounding out
Love me so"

You're posting that everywhere. I swear we'd pay attention to you if you said something else more thoughtful.
I've only just found Oliver Mtukudzi thanks to Radio Paradise and I have to say that so far I like what I hear.🐨
Same Here!! Now I like a LOT of his tunes! Thanx RP! May he rest in peace!
"Welcome to the afternoon tv show, today we shall discuss exiting trends in colors and textures for wall tapestries and sofa upholstering, but first a word from our promoters."
Not dissing the artists, but the keyboard should be taken out and burned.
Sounds nice in the AM.
