This came on while I was in boarding lounge on my way to Cuba. Somehow Bill just knows. Thanks

so I was watching PBS show on the topic of boogaloo music and how it grew out of mambo, samba, et.

It rocks.

You Lucky Duck! I wish I was there!
I was lucky to see him play live in London not long before he died. A brilliant pianist.

I absolutely love this exhilarating music. I wish I was in Cuba dancing to it now!

WTF!!!??

update - it was driving me crazy so I tracked down the Skatalites tune and it's "Rockfort Rock" or "Rock Fort Rock". I have it on two CDs and one uses Rockfort, one word and the other Rock Fort, two words.
And I have no idea who used the passage first or if it was just in the common domain.
