I was told what it means to be a man
And now I've reached that age
I've tried to do all those things the best I can
No matter how I try
I find my way to the same old jam
Good times, bad times, you know I've had my share
When my woman left home for a brown-eyed man
But I still don't seem to care
Sixteen, I fell in love with a girl as sweet as could be
It only took a couple of days 'till she was rid of me
She swore that she would be all mine and love me 'till the end
But when I whispered in her ear, I lost another friend, oh
Good times, bad times, you know I've had my share
When my woman left home for a brown-eyed man
But I still don't seem to care
Good times, bad times, you know I've had my share
When my woman left home for a brown-eyed man
But I still don't seem to care
I know what it means to be alone
I sure do wish I was at home
I don't care what the neighbors say
I'm gonna love you each and every day
You can feel the beat within my heart
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't never gonna part
I feel good when I look into your eyes.
Immortal.
Yes. Album 1. Side 1. Track 1. Great introduction!!!!!
The first album, side 1, track 1. Nobody had heard a band like this. And nothin' was the same after that.
I Agree! I bought this in 1970, right after it was released. I was 14yrs old. I played it so much when my friends came came over that I wore it out and had to buy a new copy. They had it on 8 track tapes. I always had a "better stereo", so, my bedroom was the "go to place" to listen to music! I also had great open air headphones at the time. ...and, nuttin' was the same after this album! ...fond memories! Thanx RP for bringing it to us in FLAC!
I – Good Times Bad Times

u forgot kashmir my dear friend
I was at rock festival at Goldcreek Washington in 69, saw a host of performers including bands like Ike and Tina turner, Buffalo Springfield, Young Bloods, and the Doors. The Doors were on at 8:00 PM, over at 10:00. Since I was only 14 we had to be back by 11.00. Making our way back home, as we walked to our vehicle, this song was echoing through the valley.
We Didn't know who the were.
I went to that Festival as well and it was great, except the only water was a single tap in the middle of the crowd of several thousand people.
GODLIKE!!!
And ICONIC!!!
You might try the mellow mix. Looks like this hasn't been played there in the last 30 days. I caution against the rock mix where it sees plenty of air time, on the order of every other day.
Long live RP.
I think the correct answer is.... "I hope not", or without Led Zeppelin, it's just not a rock mix, or if you don't like music from one of the top five bands of all time, what do you like, or RadioParadise is just not for you.
Is there a version of Radio Paradise that doesn't play Led Zeppelin? Asking for a friend

Robert Plant seems a bit overdressed wearing that huge petticoat.
We Didn't know who the were.
Who.....who are the sociopaths that rated this a zero, and why are they listening to RP if they think this is a zero? Bozno shall rise from his grave and beat them about the head and neck with his sticks.
as though they owe him money
I certainly hope not.
Agreed, that would be the Mellow Mix option...life without Led, what kind of life would that be?
It always blows me away that the first song on the first LZ album defines heavy metal. Never tire of this song. Just wish RP would play the remastered version.
Oh No. ALL the Zep remastered CDs sound bad. Look for the Barry Diament mastered CDs. Atlantic 19126. Those are by far the best sounding. No need for Baking, Brick Walling or bad EQing.
II – Whole Lotta Love
III – Immigrant Song
IV – Black Dog
Led Zep - Kings of Side 1, Track 1.
The Rover first
Ask not for whom the Bell tolls.
Teach the children well :)
Nice childrearing...we need MORE kids like yours. LLRP!!
LOL! ...Too funny! ......A GREAT tune!
II – Whole Lotta Love
III – Immigrant Song
IV – Black Dog
Led Zep - Kings of Side 1, Track 1.
Can't argue with that!
We're not going to pussy foot and ease you into an album, we'd rather punch in the gut right off the bat, taking no prisoners!

No doubt! And a great "intro" track for a band that would become one of the biggest ever.....LLRP!!
Try focusing on the drums...Bonzo was great! Long Live RP!!
Aymen : ) getting into sleazey clubs when you're 17 - 18 and rockin' til sun-up then driving your chopped up Mopar home on empty, cop free highways, bong hits and tall boys greeting the dawn!!! ah youth
I certainly hope not.
Right? I would think that station would be called something like "Radio Nightmare" or "Radio Hell"
This track is at least a 9, almost a 10, so...what the hell...it's a 10 now....Long Live RP!!
Pinball Wizard?
Nothing in the Rock and Roll catalog compares to the music that was generated in the mid 60's and early 70's
Quite the crucible of creativity and experimentation
Thank you Lord
Amen. Born at the right time.
Carmen Suite No. 2, Habanera
with this...
SPOT ON per usual.
THANK YOU RP!!!
I totally agree with you. It's a little surprising how many young people (under 30) who I've talked with that agree.
Or, you just prefer the music you grew up with. There is still tons of great music coming out.

Yeah, but also Personality Crisis by the NY Dolls
Who surprisingly get no love here at Radio Paradise. Not one single song is played.
and the countdown begins to see how long it'll take someone to reply in such a way as to confirm they don't realize you're being sarcastic.
unless you're like my son-in-law (his fav band = Slayer) who says STRAIGHT faced that J.B. was over-rated as a drummer. UGGG
This one gets a 9 rating from me even if the drumming is only fine. Long Live RP!!

Dan,
Try to explain that to people under 20, 30, 40, 50 years old.
The poor souls...just don't get it.

Hard pressed to think of a better one.
I wish they get a decent guitar player and a drummer...like today's bands.
2015 is the bestest year for rock n roll. I read that on somebody's tweet...
I agree that 2015 was indeed a great year for Rock, but I think that the year 2015, has now turned into the beginning of a new era with a new genre of Rock (not just Rock 'n Roll in particular), influenced by 60'as Rock, put together but some talented musicians out there, but on a path quite different from the 70's Rock. We'll see how this one goes.
Very unusual - maybe my fave Zep tune.
Every fill and riff is perfection.
Anyway, Good Times, Bad Times actually wasn't the first Led Zep tune I heard. Like I said, I was driving along and I happened to be listening to a not particularly rock-friendly station when DJ said "I hope you're ready for this" and the first few notes of Dazed & Confused hit me like Bonzo was beating me on the ears. I just couldn't believe it! (Especially on this station.) I pulled on the side of the road and cranked the little FM unit to 11. I knew rock would never be quite the same, that I had just heard a revolutionary band of incredible power. The poor DJ came back on and said something like "Well, there you have it, by a group named Led Zepplin, which makes no sense so I guess that's why they call it Dazed and Confused." He clearly had absolutely no idea the monster he had just turned loose over the airwaves.
I bought Led Zepplin immediately and wore that sucker out!
Awesome story

AND YOU'RE STILL ROCKIN' coloradojohn!!! CHEERS! (gonna raise a pint to the Spirit of that long-haired dough flipper too!!!) WOO-HOO
These guys sure could use a decent guitar player and drummer and a vocalist. You know...like Arcadia Fire or Smashing Pumpkins.
Very unusual - maybe my fave Zep tune.

Written, recorded, engineered and sequenced to be cut into a disc of petroleum which was packaged inside a square cardboard sleeve covered with cool designs, artwork, photography, words, etc.
I love to hold Zeppelin in my hands, take then out of their sleeve, put them on the turntable and drop the needle. Zep had heft and so does vinyl. Love the pop and crackle and service noise and the air moving.
All hail the gatefold!
Yep, Analog Rules!!
Since I have heard them open with this song on Celebration Day, I have had a new appreciation for it.
BTW: Celebration Day ROCKS!!!

partial list of clichés: hard core; real-deal; meat and potatoes; true; the beginnings of; classic; balls out; pedal to the metal; seriously good; the best ever; ... etc, etc, etc
If you have not see Celebration Day, it is a must see. This band amazes me!
