I had dreams of getting a second SID chip for my C=64, so that I could properly play the 6-voice .sid files in my collection of sid files.  These young kids with their Napster and Limewire have it so easy.  When I was a kid and I wanted to listed to a digital copy of The Spirit of Radio, we had to wait for our parents to get off the phone so you could dial into the local BBS and download .sid files at 1200 baud, if we were lucky!

That is awesome Rob, well maybe not for you I guess. From what I've heard from Red Hot Chili Pipers I really like them. They and other bands like them are right up my alley. Years ago my gf and i were visiting Houston on St. Patrick's Day weekend and heard about a small venue celtic music fest so we went. To my surprise Seven Nations was the headliner.  Greaaat. time ta' be had!

Saw the Peppers at ACL Musicfest a couple/few years ago and thought they sounded fabulous.  Only problem was they quit 20 minutes early...well before the noise ordinance requirement.  Poor showing for the band closing the day.   They must be getting old.

August 2005, Atlantic City, they played this song prior releasing Stadium Arcadium and we got to hear it for the first time. Live. Such a vibe and groove! Now I don't get to listen so much to RHCP - probably getting old he-he... but still, this song rocks.

Hi. The "thing" is, the more listeners, the more mainstream the average music taste gets. Unfortunetaly but consequently that also counts for our beloved RP and its community. I won't blame anyone for not liking any music genre, band or song but I don't think the world gets any better when manifesting these negative "vibes“ in extremely poor ratings.

Let's have a good discussion about the music here in the board that's fine for everyone and respects the music genres (artists) and it's respective lovers.

With as much sympathy as possible....HAHAHAHAHA !!!  I will say this RHCP tune sounds great with a nice hi-fi system....the 8 rate fits for me...Long Live RP and the PIPERS from the HIGHLANDS!!

My wife encouraged me to attend a local flower festival claiming the Red Hot Chilli Peppers were going to make an appearance. Obviously I was sceptical but it is a very large festival and so I thought what the heck, give it a go. The band who appeared on stage later that day were the Red Hot Chilli PIPERS, a Scottish bagpipe band.
However, all was not lost, the headliners ended up being The Christians, a far superior band to the Chilli Peppers in my opinion.

The band was truly great live. Flea is an incredible bass player ... John Frusciante and Chad Smith complete a tight rythem section and John's high harmonies are right on. This band has matured from their early days when they used to play L.A. clubs naked ... well mostly naked. The problem with this band is that they aren't that good (do they ever have a different sound...ever?) and ran out of ideas/inspiration a long time ago.
