I'll be the wind in your leaves
The warmth of the sun
I'm always drawing your colours
I'm always tracing your footsteps

It's a hard world it's a cold world
I could never say what I mean
I went looking in all the wrong places
There's nothing wrong with you

Broken telephone
The lines are down
The wires no longer reaching
Connection's gone

Higher and higher
I am taken by what you've given to me
Higher and higher
I am taken by what you've given to me
What you've given to me

I'll be the wind in your leaves (repeat first verse)...

Broken telephone the lines are down
I throw myself at nothing
I throw myself at nothing
Higher and higher I am taken by
What you've given to me...

That's odd, I found a picture of you instead.

It does go just a little too far on this track. Pretty much impossible to understand the lyrics except for a few snippets here and there.

same here.
Not their best tune... I've heard better from other albums.
nails on the chalkboard - mute time (hope it doesn't last too long)
yum! more tanyas
I can't take the mumbly hyper-vibrato.
what an amazin' trio! so cool!
This is the first song by them that I don't really care for.
Does anyone else hear Gary Jules in the guitar work?
Be Good Tanyas for Christmas Angels! Oh, and World President(s)
Nothing quite like a broken telephone to concentrate fully on the music at hand (: ear ear :) BGT's for World President!
I can't understand most of the lyrics to this song. If the lyrics are going to be unintelligable, why not do the song as an instrumental?

:) I might occasionally miss them here at RP Kerly which means I'm listening to them on my Ipod probably, walkin' gayly down the street in Chinatown
Thanks to the uploader!
Mari your girls are singing :)
Please put me out of this misery
This is actually painful.

Wonderful description! The imagery is right there in the music; the banjo harmonies so sweet, bubblin' ( oozin' ) their way up from the Deep South to the frozen Northern Wastes. ( And all the way to Tropical Australia too! )
