Go son, go down to the water
And see the women weeping there
Then go up into the mountains
The men, they are weeping too
Father, why are all the women weeping?
They are all weeping for their men
Then why are all the men there weeping?
They are weeping back at them
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the men and women sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
Father, why are all the children weeping?
They are merely crying son
O, are they merely crying, father?
Yes, true weeping is yet to come
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While all the little children sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
O father tell me, are you weeping?
Your face seems wet to touch
O then I'm so sorry, father
I never thought I hurt you so much
This is a weeping song
A song in which to weep
While we rock ourselves to sleep
This is a weeping song
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
But I won't be weeping long
And see the women weeping there
Then go up into the mountains
The men, they are weeping too
Father, why are all the women weeping?
They are all weeping for their men
Then why are all the men there weeping?

Oh. Nick Cave. Start the "rate at 2" macro.
Being generous, aren't you?

Ditto, not just weeping but wretching!
take another "1" on.
Oh. Nick Cave. Start the "rate at 2" macro.

sounds like a 33 at slower speed....... (does anyone get it?)
A friend was telling me about a conversation he had with his teenage daughter about Elton John's early material. As part of this, he pulled out an EJ vinyl and played a song.
After the song, his daughter was leaving the room and he said "wait, I want you hear one more" and then went to the turntable and flipped the record over.
His daughter screamed 'YOU CAN PLAY THE OTHER SIDE?!?!?!!!"
He stood there dumbfounded.

Horrific
No, sublime. Too bad Bill doesn't play the studio version. It's much better.
I realize now that deafness can be a good thing sometimes...
Terrific

Good song for a blue day :(
The album cover is very fuzzy. Maybe that has something to do with why the vocals are being played at the wrong speed?
(edit) Hmmm, now the album cover is gone. Dows this mean the song is going away too?
This, is, an awful song.
Like it goes, on, all night long.
I mean, I have nothing against weeping, i'm a SNAG and everything (sensitive new age guy).
But i'd rather be made to sit through Julia Roberts dying for hours in Steel Magnolias than hear this song again. MY first suck-o-barfo rating ever.
The fact that it's stuck in my head doesnt make it catchy.
I think the belt on the turntable is stretched.
I'm weeping, all righty.
Jaysus! These are very bad seeds altogether - 2/10

Nick Cave must be related to Warren Zevon. Listening to either produce flu-like symptoms in me...you think I'm exaggerating.
It is strange how some artists can polarize the audience. I would agree with most of your high ratings, but those are two of my favorite artists.
One of my favorite Nick Cave songs :))))
Excellent! As usual you either love him or hate him. 9
Now if we can only get Bill to play the Ship Song off of this album...

The is a lousy song...perhaps the worst I've heard on RP.
I'm going to need to stay away from sharp objects for a while ...
This is the second song I've heard from these guys (Where The Wild Roses Grow is the first), and I dislike it almost as much.
One of my favorite Nick Cave songs. Glad to finally hear it here!
New music!
Maybe it will get played sometime?
My first LRC added! Wonderful and moving song... I think I'll give it a 10...
