Great tune. If you're a fan of Isakov, you may want to look up Royal Wood - a fantastic Canadian artist who seems to have struggled to break out beyond our long and lonely borders. I know his older stuff better, so I'll recommend "Juliet" and "Do You Recall" to start.

I guess I've never thank RP for the fact that "introduced" this man in my music playlists. This Empty Northern Hemisphere is the album that brought my boyfriend and I together, in a tent from Chamonix campsite, while we were just friends back then and in love, but we didn't knew.

I recall hearing this on RP when it came out. I was in the best part of Setagaya-ku, in the best part of Tokyo, before the Fukushima meltdown, when I thought I'd be there forever... It struck and impressed me mightily. Now, I'm back in good old Boulder. Mr. Isakov is here, too. The Universe will truly surprise you sometimes.

100% agree. And Gregory has done it more than once - Stable Song is another one. It's been 10 years and I've never had even the briefest of "I'm sick of this" moments with these tracks.

 A wonderful album, but Bill, please, please, please play 'Master and the Hound" off the same LP; it is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. My daughter actually came down the aisle for her wedding to this tune (minus the lyrics), after getting Isakov to send her just the soundtrack for the event. She thanked him in person in Nashville when he played at a small venue there a year ago.

Hadn't heard this one for awhile - since it was on RP heavy rotation, maybe a year or two in the past. My whole life is completely different now. Funny how a song can kind of bookmark a chapter of life, and then pull you right back there when you hear it again down the track.

Funny reading the previous comment - I was going to write that 2 of my favorite GAI songs are The Stable Song and That Moon Song. But Black and Blue is what turned my head, I can tell you exactly where I was when I first really listened to 3 am's lyrics, and and..... Thanks for being a GAI fan!!!
