Friendly strangers on the path
Is there something i came here to do?
Wandering here, wandering there
I just wanna fit with you
Before the chaos hits the door
The sun was on my face
Can i hear you in the storm?
Is anybody there?

Iiiiiiiiiii.... (spinning into place)
Iiiiiiiiiii.... (spinning in outer space)

Now look up, look up again
Can you see the lights grow dim?
I hope you'll find i'm still the same
as a boy often in the rain
Before the dice hit the floor
And they have shown their hands
Its time to take another breath
And sink beneath the sand

Iiiiiiiiiiiii... (spinning into place)
Iiiiiiiiiiiii... (spinning in outer space)

Ill be with you
we'll be together
On our return
Returning from wherever

Ill be with you
We'll be together
On our return
Returning from wherever

Iiiiiiiiiiiii... (spinning into place)
Spinning in outer space
Ill be with you
We'll be together

Alan Parson Project vibes.
This is RP in my opinion, sadly not often enough these days.😒
6 -> 7
Logged in to make sure I had given this a 10.

Good analogy
This one started out a strong 7, maybe even an 8 ... and then it wouldn't end. It kept going and going. Now it's a 5.

All the better, my man!
Back when RP only played good music I actually rated this a 9, now a 10 of course!

In an earlier Shpongle song, someone mentioned how Dorset Perception reminds them they miss Younger Brother, and now 10 songs later...

awwww
I so love Younger Brother.  Regretfully  (or thankfully) the only place I have ever heard them is on RP.  I just googled them to find out if they were doing any shows near me (Colorado).  The closest concert was in Sri Lanka on February 12, which has passed since today is 3/3/2023.  Nothing else scheduled that I am able to find.   :(   I always have the future.

Could you skip and let the rest of us enjoy it while you work out your issues?
Nice sounds... makes my ears take over the sensorial perception systems.
Great tune from a great band of talent.

BTW...I have been remiss of sending $$$ to RP, been tough lately but just sent in some money to keep this awesome platform alive and well. I also continue to refer new people to this station, best on the net. Please donate what you can.
I was at the vaccine shop and this song came on. 6 more weeks of pandemic.
This is some of the most emotionally connected downtempo ever...bravo fellows...always a pleasure...
First time I heard this my thought was "Okay, I thought I knew all of Pink Floyd's songs. How did I miss this?"

That's not a bad thing.  I'd say it's a compliment to the artists.

Another negative comment from a negative, narrow-minded person. Listen to KISS FM mate.

You're vehemently anti a lot of music played here on RP.  Over 25% of your ratings are a 1 (9 out of your 32).  Did you ever think of finding another place to listen to music that more appeals to you?
 MattRudely wrote:

I'm not.
I am vehemently anti- this album.
After countless hearings in many settings, this incredible song (and artist) still grows on me with each listen; it's as deep and alive as RP!
Hmmm. Had this at a 7, so I bumped it up to an 8. Then I got chills listening to it more intently, now it's a 9.
One of the first tunes I listened to on RP.
A couple of years later, I'm finally getting the renovation finished on my gran's house. Listening to this as I'm laying some floating floor in what will be the kid's bedroom. Things are indeed spinning into place.
I'm smiling thinking of my gran. Wherever she is now, she must be happy to see that we'll hopefully soon be able to stay in her old house :)
Thanks RP for making my life nicer.
some of these synths sound too similar to my notification sounds

I do not have one complaint about this music, none - I listen to it and I love it. I have nothing but gushing admiration for their catchy sounds. To the point (but not beyond) of sounding sarcastic, I listen to this all day long when I'm not listening to Radio Paradise. At the core, my auditory system is embedded with an identically matched frequency spectrum

But can you dance to it?
"Vaccine" - very appropriate for this uplifting week in Europe.
I like the way this builds.  Very dramatic.

sweet Chulito

This song fills me with light, and I've finally had to bump it to a 10! Always hits the spot.
This pick to follow up Symphony No. 5 in C minor was kinda masterful. Only RP could pull this kinda thing out of the hat.

First 2 albums are far better in my opinion, the 2nd - Last Days of Gravity - is one of the finest electronic albums created. I didn't like the direction they took with this one at all, and like many of their fans I was critical that they had moved too far from their electronic roots. YB seemed to acknowledge that fact by releasing the electronic version of Vaccine to popular demand. The electronic version is far, far superior to the rock-lite original.

There are some great tracks on here, but if you really want to hear the best of them then get Last Days of  Gravity and a Flock of Bleeps.

Not to mention that the album cover for Last Days of Gravity is on my top 10 list of cutting edge covers.
I dig the melding of electronica and guitar. I regularly play Younger Brother on when I'm at home.
Love, love, love this sing! Thanks, Bill, for introducing me to Younger Brother.
Gracias Bill por el slideshow, me ha gustado mucho, excelentes fotografías!
I find the cover mesmerizing as the American Redbuds petals are covering the ground like snow in central Illinois.

Fond of both Yes and PF but have no idea how listeners hear those bands in this song.

This is 'post-prog' in some respects but otherwise it is hard to fathom the connection.

Great CD BTW.

Not digging the plinky plunky sound.  It would be OK if not for that.

These were on in London recently at the Shpongle Codex vi release @ Troxy, London, my sister went to the all nighter, as she is into them.
Line up was Shpongle (Simon Posford and Raja Ram), Hallucinogen, The Infinity Project, (Raja Ram), Younger Brother , Youth, Prometheus and  DJ Lucas.

Anyhow, I feel younger brother was much better when the singing was minimal. This foolio doesn't really have much going on in his vocals, not adding very much to the song.

Previous album was much better, same singer, more distorted vocals.

I love hearing this after Dark Side Us & Them > Eclipse... In some ways, it's kinda like the spacier sound Pink Floyd brought out and laid down on Wish You Were Here... come to think of it, the subtle but awesome bass is in the style of Roger Waters — and a whole lot of it sure reminds me of Pyramid-era Alan Parsons (and he was the sound engineer on Dark Side, wasn't he?)... Anyway, SUPERB

Did a web search for this band - looking for tour info. Found this:

"On 16 August 2014 Benji Vaughn stated on Younger Brothers' Facebook page that he would "be going quiet for a while" and that "it's time to disappear for a few years"

Oh well. Another band bites the dust....

If you were to ask Simon, he'd probably suggest that your struggles may have more to do with an insufficient level of psychedelics in your system than with any shortcomings in your gear.

Once more coming to rate the song only to realise that it's already done :) I just don't understand how I keep forgetting I've already heard them and I know their name lol
Some real depth to the composition. So your music comes out of a computer, I suppose if you pour in your heart and soul into it and really work the machine, it's like an instrument. This occurred to me when we heard how well Younger Brother's music plays with their spacey vocal styling. All good!

When they inevitably do a full-length feature (or at least a new sit-com) of "Welcome Back, Kotter", that phrase could replace "Up your nose with a rubber hose!"
Love the vibe this song gives.
It was only when I looked in to the band and it's members history that I realised the wealth of experience these 3 have.   It shows.   the way this track builds and holds you there is fantastic.     9 -> 9.4

Discovered "弟弟" thanx to RP and decided to rate them among the scarce post-2000 electro material I find not only interesting, but seriously good-sounding and well-produced. Not Godlike yet though, they'll have to confirm.

So you like the format but hate most of the songs and you think giving them a "1" is going to make things better for you. And you feel happy to use PSD even though it's likely going to take you to another song you hate.
