You are the sun to the earth
You are the light of this world
Won't you see
Why won't you see
You are an arm I can't reach
You are the words I can't speak
Won't you say
Why won't you say
I will walk till I've no shadow
I will walk till I've no shadow
You twist the light in your hands
Losing thoughts so you move you can't give
Reasons fall from every storm that you lived
We move through the dark, helpless
You are the quiet in my soul
You are the pieces of gold
Won't you shine
Why won't you shine
I will walk till I've no shadow
I will walk till I've no shadow
I will walk till I've no shadow
I will walk till I've no shadow
You are the light of this world
Won't you see
Why won't you see

Saw these guys live in Portland, OR in a small club several years ago — they absolutely rocked. Especially the chick drummer.
So useless criticizing this band.
Most original band. Personally, pure listening pleasure, along with The National.

Very Floyd. These guys are Fearless.

I love The Beatles.

What is it with BRMC and RP? Talk about overplayed. I'm thinking Bill and Rebecca must be secret band members maybe. Playing an avarage band to death will never a great band make them. If you don't believe me just go and ask Chris Martin of Coldplay!

I'm quite a fan of BRMC for their disturbing psychedelic/rock sound, but this song does what it says on the tin
Good song but overplayed here.
Very Beatlesque.

Sweet tune, Mike B. must have been so proud of his son...how could you not be. Great band overall of course, I would not want to diminish their collective contributions.
Hopefully the surgery wasn't performed by Ben Carson.....

Glad to see that Leah's surgery went well and she is recovering. (Drummer. She had brain surgery.) Check out the Facebook page and put a dollar in the helmet toward her expenses if you are inclined.
Now find a good The Call segue....

Agreed - the guitar melody snuck its way into this song, same key, same kind of feel... chills.
Holey Camoley! Flawless segue from Blackbird into this!

Enjoyed the seamless segue from "Blackbird" to "Lullaby". Nice work, RP.
WHOOOOOAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice
I pull this song around me like a favorite blanket and settle in. Very enjoyable.
Everybody in my mushrooming multitude of homeless camps loves this song...
....oh so fluid and drea..m...y....
One of my favourite bands, may be not this track, but the album is pretty good. I understand this band is a little overplayed, but I like it and obviously Bill really does.
Horribly overplayed band.

6, I could rate it better, but it sounds as early Radiohead+U2+Beatles, RP listeners are quite right.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - BRMC: Robert Levon Been, Peter Hayes, Leah Shapiro
.
It is understood that rock music can find various forms of expression, and may take harmonious melodies, and when designed well in song format, can become "key players" in the characterization of the artists or bands, assuming a character of longevity and resistance in time. But I believe are the most difficult to obtain. For example songs "Lullaby", "Mercy" and "Fine Way To Lose". So that often can overlap with other musical parts over dizzying, raucous and glamorous sounds.
I love this...and no one paid me to say that!
Nice way to start the day.
Perfect.. well within a thanks giving set...
Wow, totally unexpected from BRMC, and so beautiful.
Pain emotes from just about every song I've heard from this album. This isn't a bad thing...just an observation. Actually, I quite like everything I've heard so far.
This song is good for the ears...

As I have mentioned on other threads - this is a must buy for any BRMC fan - one of their best IMHO.
Sounds like the beginning of the guitar riff from Blackbird played in half-time. Good stuff as always from BRMC!
