See her there, she hangs from me
See her face, she can't let go
I can't look in her eyes, she's holding on
She needed this to hurt me so

So it shot out of me
As though all of the love just got ripped out of me
She said I'm such a sap, I'm such a jerk
Can't I ever forget the way that we are

Spend all your time
With your eyes on the ground
Looking for the stars

So it shot out of me
As though all of the love just got ripped out of me
And just for that moment, I saw in her eyes
How it all could be, it shot out of me

Say this is it
This is all there is
You have to remember this
This is all there is

So it shot out of me
As if all of the love just got ripped out of me
And just for that moment, I saw in her eyes
How it all could be, it shot out of me

Spend all your time
With your eyes on the ground
Looking for the stars
With your eyes on the ground
Looking for the stars

So it shot out of me
As though all of the love has been ripped out of me

Ha
WTF? WTF is he saying?
This song blows chunks.  A 2 is generous
Oh right. The song after this by who else but the Smiths. Ugh times two. Look down? I don't want to open my eyes! But now Sonic Youth New Hampshire: Naloxone for this Tinder Sticks-induced coma!
Did somebody drug Boz Scaggs??? And make him sing this song?

Gif of very drunk man slowly thrown off circling horse

The only video in the world that suits this sucko-barfo tune.

Am totally rooting for Mr. Ed in this one.
Stuart certainly catches your attention with his delivery, yet it's been working for him since Tindersticks formed in 1991. I discovered them over a decade ago precisely because his sound was so distinctive, so personal, and the band's use of various instruments intriguing. (Name an alternative rock band that used a glockenspiel.) Before you RP solopsists dump on the group, perhaps learning a bit about them and their success would help. Check them out on Wikipedia, for instance. Thank you, Bill, for your persistent way of introducing us to new sounds—no matter how they first come across. Seems like that happened to some fellow named Stravinsky, as well... I'm just saying...
Holy Crap!  I don't know if I get it or not, but I'm loving this...
Blows.  I'd like to hear it with another vocalist, but then I usually say something along those lines.
blows
Ich get the James Bond reference when the strings kick in.{#Clap}

Quick, call an ambulance!  I'm not sure he is going to live through this...
This is not good.
Lana Del Ray listened to a lot of this I bet.
I am surprised at the low rating too.  sounds a bit like Boz Scaggs stoned...I like

Thanks, I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but that is it exactly! {#Roflol}
Huh, 3.9 average. Is there a Tindersticks hater? I rated 10 to bring him back.
Love this band, love this album. Their self titled album is another great one.
Someone is channeling John Martyn.
What a voice! Hypnotized from the first note.
Most excellent!
8 to start.

It's like Don Ho did a James Bond song.
Average rating of 3...time to put this song out of it's misery.
