Hot thoughts melting my mind
Could be your accent mixing with mine
You got me uptight, twisting inside
Hot thoughts all in my mind and all of the time, babe

Hot thoughts all in my mind and all of the time, yeah
Hot thoughts all in, all in my mind and all of the time

Your teeth shining so white
Light up this sad street in Shibuya tonight
Hot thoughts melting my cool
Is it your motion, signal and cue?
Hot thoughts all in my mind and all of the time
You must be trouble for sure

Hot thoughts all in my mind and all of the time, yeah
I'll tell it to your soul, I want you to know
Hot thoughts all in, all in my mind all of the time

Took time off from my kingdom
Took a break from the war
Took time off from my kingdom
Raise up my creatures
Diamonds from space
Pure facets and features

That drag drug from your lips
Making you think how good it was to let baby kiss on the lows
Hot thoughts melting your cool could be the
(It's all on my mind and all of the time)
Motion, the signal and cue
You've got

Hot thoughts all in your mind all of the time
I'll hold it to my rhyme
Make if you mind, yeah
You know, I think I, I think all your love is a lie

Add all their albums to a playlist and VOILA!

Spoon is FOR SURE one of the bands I like the most right now, up there with The War on Drugs, Elbow and The Shins; all bands that I like primarily due to RP's influence on me.  LONG LIVE RP!!

You have epic taste in music. Just sayin'
Yet another great Spoon song on RP.
GOOD TUNE!  Spoon is hit or miss for me. This tune is a HIT.  Thanx RP!
Like this.  7 -> 8.

can't get enough of this one. +10

love everything about it.
Holy shit, the segue to this from Two Against One by Daniele Luppi, and then from this to Burning by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs... *chef's kiss*

Edited to add: William!! You are a master! Thank you.
RP introduced me to Spoon. Now one of my favourite bands.  Cheers
Silly me! I only had this as a 9. Just bumped it to a 10!
Love that crunchy twangy guitar mimicking the bass line. The blend is a really great sound.

Commercial radio ?  What's that?

There is ONLY RP :)

I quite agree.  I simply cannot remember the last time I listened to commercial radio.  RP, thank you.
whatthefork...love spoon.

These guys get played on commercial radio? I didn't know that.

Man, I have a buddy who lives in Golden. I believe in '05 i visited for for a week and built him a deck. In exchange he bought tickets for the last 3 of the 5 shows for The Dead w/ Warren Haynes at Red Rocks... it was stellar! I believe there is something magic in those mountains!
This is now the intro song for Austin City Limits...too cool.

I feel like this is channeling a Wesley Willis lyric...

"I saw Spoon at Red Rocks
About 9500 people showed up
the jam session was awesome
the rock show whooped ass with a limb"

Rate 9
Solid 8 for the rhythm section alone.
This has a certain INXS vibe to it.

edit:
haha  followed by Devil Inside!  Right on, Bill!

This song for some reason ROCKS. It could be something subliminal. I don't know. Gotta give it a 9.

I'm so-so on Spoon but this song grabbed me too. Didn't know who it was until I looked.
If this song came out in 2017, then I learned about it on RP, since I listened to nothing else in the past year.

Thanks RP!
Lovig this album - another great 'first' for me from RP

Great band, but this song is annoying me today for some reason.
This is a great band!{#Music}
I always liked Spoon for no reason but my personal taste. Yesterday I heard Prof. Dr. Hartmut Fladt analysing 'Hot Thoughts' from the musicologist's point of view. Wow. Now I  acknowledge Spoon for the genius of Britt Daniel's songwriting also, and I do not wonder anymore about the connection between the band's name and the song 'Spoon' by the German Canband.

For German speakers, here's the link to Hartmut Fladt's analysis (available until 2019-06-04).
Pop rocks, poured in a coke, and it ain't no joke.

{#Devil_pimp}zesty !

awsome tune...texas band....KEXP studio live
I love Spoon, specially love the sound and voice of Brit. They are more likely unknown in western Europe, but glad I had the chance to see them twice in Cologne. But the Fanbase is growing.....amazing!
I have never heard this song in it's entirety before and I am so thankful for this! So brilliant, am in love! <3

I'm not sure it's as good as "They Want My Soul", but it is very good.

As others have said - this is a grower. Gone from 6 -> 7 -> 8 for me, and now the album is on the wanted-list.

And the same applies to me... 7 —> 8.

Great voice. So much good music out there..... RP brought me to Spoon, thank you

100% Agreed!  I've had it for about 2 weeks now and it lives in the CD player in my truck for now.

This song is like a rollercoaster ride at the county fair, a quick, but catchy thrill. I give it an 8. I picked up the album and it's interestingly diverse, and a grower (reminds me a bit of how I feel about most Blur albums). As for the cover art:

"This is your brain"

"This is your brain on Spoon"
This is a great album overall....recently bought and listened multiple times....for Spoon fans this is a must!
The last line of this song is really a shocker!
Looks like Francis Bacon is checking out a new colour palette.
Doesn't sound like Spoon to me. . .but still pretty cool.
I saw them do this song on one of the late-night shows the other night. Tight band.
Now on Spotify in my car.  Looking forward to this one ....
Awesome tune!!
The vocal reminds me of Yes..digging this new one
I thought he was saying "Hot Box"! {#Whipit}

I heard that too, but I figured it's just because I was hungry.  Good song - cool arrangement.

ME TOO!!
Production & sound seems similar to their previous album "They Want My Soul." That was an excellent album, so that's fine with me. I might be ready for a return to their more rock 'n roll sound eventually...
Thought it was going to be a new version of Running Up That Hill with the opening notes.

Its ok.  Unremarkable is my first thought.
There's something special about this band that my ears enjoy very much.  I always need to look up who is playing and I am always pleasantly pleased.  Time to spend some hard-earned, I think.

6.9?  Crank up those ratings, chaps.

Damn! What a great song.
I already love this song.  So awesome.  Great to have new music from Spoon.

Sweet - the bar is high after their last album and so far really digging this....!
First thought this was Massive Attack, something about the sound is halfway between Protection & Heligoland.  Then realized it's a little too poppy for them.

Then looked up.  Spoon, eh?  Like the sound of this one, up there with Inside Out.
